Bug - Longbow - Obstructed / Out of Range
Yeah it happens way to often but not on bow alone,it can happen on every projectile skill a warr has. Offhand Sword Impale gets randomly obstructed when there is nothing that is in the way of the skill.Also Mace offhand Tremor gets obstructed in the same way.Fights really take a turn in the enemy’s favor when this keeps on happening.
I could be wrong but I’m fairly certain the problem is probably a result of position lag, however I do frequently suffer from weird glitches involving the terrible targeting system.
This happens to me ALL THE TIME. I get an obstructed or out of range message when the person is obviously out in the open or well within range. Last night I traited for 1200 range and I attacked someone at around 800 range just standing there and I get an out of range message. So annoying because obviously it always happens with my pindown.

I ‘ve seen once that my projectile was “obscured” from an engineer’s mine he dropped back while dodging and though its a bug. Maybe it was the bug you people experiencing.
I ‘ve seen Pindown and Impale’s projectile being “out of range” while my target was half a leap away and though that I might be lagging and my target could be further away compared to what I saw…
Yeah, all these reduces the effectiveness of such skills.
I started noticing that recently. I mostly get the obstructed notice even if I am on flat ground with absolutely nothing around me.
Edit: My pindown skill does fail quite frequently it seems. Oh and my impale skill too. I am just noticing how often those skills are failing for me.

This bug is happening even more now, it really happens often to me very disturbing.
It’s more awesome when 1 of the 2 shots from Dual Shot obstructs and not the other.

I get this all the time when bowing for NPC on walls in WvW.
The “wtf obstructed” bug has been around for a while, but nobody at ANET will admit that it exists. It will mostly occur with enemies that warp/dodge around a lot, like thieves for example. the actual shots will go in the correct direction and " connect" but there will be no damage with either obstructed/outranged/miss notices.
There’s something about doing a “sidestep wiggle” at range that triggers it sometimes too.
