Hello again folks!

Many moons ago I played this hybrid build that was suggested by a friend of mine and at the time, it was a good bit of fun for dueling and solo roaming. I later changed over to a LB/shout build and then left the game due to RL requirements. As I’m not one to follow the “meta,” I wanted to toy around with something similar to what I used to use.

The main points with this build are:

1. Stack confusion with the stuns of the mace, shield, bulls charge.
2. Every weapon swap has at least one stun and a block.
3. Stack conditions + blinds (mischief sigil).
4. Cure conditions and heal with shouts.
5. Create a balance between raw damage, crit chance, and condition damage.
6. Be accused of being a troll!

If possible, can you all review over this build and give me your thoughts?

It would definitely be entertaining. A big part of its success may rely on the fact that you’re going to confuse the heck out of people. Although you might opt for a little more crit damage. Other than that it certainly seems worth a try!

The concept at least looks fun but I’m not sure how viable this is. I’ve tried testing it in sPvP (w/o perplexity runes of course) and it was pretty fun. I was able to get 13 stacks of confusion on targets pretty easily. At one point, I got around 13-15 stacks on a ranger with half health and just watched as he killed himself.

Yeah, this is somewhat funny but not viable IMO. Seems you made this for WvW roaming?

It has little to no mobility, especially after you used Bull’s offensively. Sword leap is meh for mobility and you have 0 movement condi resistance other then dogged march (which you should actually replace for Missile Reflection if you have this many blocks).

Dual Wielding is a waste on a build with this low power and no might stacking.

No Fast Hands, arguably the best trait in the entire game.

Funny, it’s a condi build yet it has extremely poor condi mitigation. Sword and mace burst are unreliable to land at best, thus Cleansing Ire won’t save you. Double SiO without trooper runes only cleanse 2 condi’s off you, after that you are toast. Sigil of Cleansing won’t be enough to mitigate a serious condibomb.

You also lack the most damaging condi in the game, burning.

Did you misplace the sigils? You have double mischief on one, and double cleansing on the other. I guess the idea was 1 of each on both sets?

It has a lot of crit chance, yet almost no crit damage and no bleed on crits.

You don’t have Deep Cuts, which is almost mandatory on any condi warrior.

Seriously, the idea is fun though it has been done before, but the execution is lacking IMO.

You get way more on all stats except for a lil condi damage and some toughness. Lose out on CI, which you couldnt really use for cleansing anyway, and gain Inspiring Shouts to get adrenaline quickly. Warhorn to apply a strong weakness with high uptime as you now have +70% condi duration and 100% on confusion. Also cleanses condi’s into boons, and can get them movement condi’s off of you. And you get 100% swiftness uptime. You are still extremely weak to things like cripple and chill being full melee, but hey.

The whole build would probably be better with Rabid gear, as your direct damage will still be low.
