So I’m still fairly new to the game only got it for a week and half and I got this warrior build in mind, which would more focus on crits but still have enough toughness and durablity to tank. Here’s the general idea ;

- Heal skill : Healing Signet
- Utility skills : For great justice, Signet of Might, Signet of Fury
- Elite skill : Signet ( forgot name lol )

Traits :

20 strength
10 arms
20 defence
0 tactics
20 discipline

Explenation :

Strength tree for power obviously – would choose the damage bonus based on adrenaline level, and the GS attacks deal 10% more damage one.

Arms for precision and would take the 40 precision for each unused signet.

Defence for the passive health regen based on adrenaline level, and would take 200 toughness while stunned crippled etc, and the gain adrenaline when hit one.

Discipline for the 20% reduced signet cooldown, and crit chance based on adrenaline level.

This would give me permanent might and fury ( +20% crit ) by using “For great Justice” and the elite skill signet. They would recharge faster than I would lose my fury and might buffs, allowing me to recast them and get them again !

For gear I’d go for power/toughness/healing power or power/tougness/vitality and use rune of the eagle. And ofcourse use a sigil of perception for even more precision or sigil of accuracy ( probs accuracy I don’t like having to kill 25 mobs to gain the full effect ).

Any thoughts on this build, how well it would do ?

I recommend not taking Signet of Strength or Fury personally. Conditions would hurt you pretty bad, I always got Shake it Off or Signet of Stamina unless there’s no conditions I need to worry about. Also, Banner of Discipline gives twice the Precision the Signet of Fury does and would increase your Critical hit damage by 15%

Healing Signet’s HPS is alot less than Healing Surge

At level 80 the 40 precision trait will only give you a few % points of Crit chance, 1-60 though it’s very powerful

For gear if you’re looking to be a bit more durable, I recommend Knight’s Gear and Cavalier’s jewelery with Ruby Orbs

If you’re using a Greatsword you want 20 points in arms to get trait X. You’ll get 1 might every time you crit, it’s incredibly powerful.

Hope this helps

Ty for the input. However I’d still go with my first initial build. Reason ;

Banner is on a long cooldown and you’d have to move it around all the time if you’re moving around alot. I could see this becoming a viable option though in places I know I’m gonna stay put.

The traits however I don’t really like your idea. I got permanent might from “For great justice” and the elite skill signet this way, and getting rid of 100 toughness for even more might doesn’t seem worth it to me. I will mess around with it and see if it’s good but I’m thinking I’d rather have an extra 100 toughness to be more durable than have more damage, the crits will get all the damage I need (:

Ok, just want to say Might stacks power not duration, so FGJ alone gives permanent might.

However Fury definitley needs the awesomeness that is Signet of Rage and the extra 5 might from it is also great

Fury and Might are two different things, you can achieve permanent Fury through Signet of Rage and FGJ. Btw most warriors running too many signets and obviously using Deep Cuts trait will be booted from groups very quickly, take it from the people who know, it’s a very selfish build. Banner of Discipline IS the way to go, yes it’s a little clunky but you get used to it, plus most battles end with some running, so the swiftness it gives it good. Also when traited for it banners only have a couple seconds worth of down time (Not the elite, that thing is useless.)

Also Healing Signet is terrible. As a warrior you should be dodging most hits and only require burst healing, warriors do not get nibbled to death.

Trait wise is good. Strength take Berserker Power and Slashing Power. Arms take Furious Reaction. Defense take Embrace Pain and Last Stand, more useful than turtle defense. Disciple go for Heighten Focus and Trait X :p forgot the name. Movement skill break immb.

I believe you are using GS and Axe/Shield therefore the above build. You can also use GS and Hammer. Just change Furious Reaction to Unsuspecting Foes for 50% more crit chance on stunned and change Last Stand to Merciless Hammer 25% more damage on hammer and 20% faster cooldown.

FGJ and SOR will keep you almost perm might and fury. Ruby orb outweight boom duration as you crit more often offsetting the lack of might stacks. (boon duration can almost perm 25 stacks of might whereas ruby orb give on average 15 stacks.) SoS or Shake It Off for condition and Endure Pain will be the rest of your utilities. Depending on situation you can swap Shake It Off or Endure Pain for Balance Stance.

if you want to go greatsword, specing into a bit of precision is the way to go due to Forceful Greatsword (Might on critical) trait. You can get to 25 stacks of Might really easily on bosses (equates to 875 power) if you have some boon length increasing runes. Warriors have easy access to Fury (20% critical chance) as well which makes landing a critical strike and getting a might stack a lot easier too.

As mentioned before knight’s is a great gear setup for greatsword starters because it gives you a nice mix of defensive and offensive stats. If you are more confident of staying alive you can mix beserker’s gear into your setup. its all a personal thing really.
