Bunker Warrior WvWvW Commander Build
My premise here is that the commander serves as something that stands in the front lines. Having a shield will definitely increase your survivability and warhorn help buff your team. Soldier runes will take away negative buffs, and heal your allies with shout heal.
The sword allows you to dive in or dive out as necessary. The sigil of energy ensures you can roll away when you need to not relying on enemy kill just in case your team can’t kill the enemy. But sigil of restoration ensures for every enemy you tag and kill heals you too.
For infusions, you can get the infusions from laurels. Since you won’t need agony resistance because there is no agony in wvw,.
iii on strength adds more hp to you and you can change it to death from above in case you need to jump from a high location and surprise your enemy.
i on toughness is to ensure you utilize your shield to the best of its abilities.
viii stability is to ensure that you don’t falter while leading.
xi defy pain is to ensure you don’t die fast.
tactics ii is to ensure you buff power to 5 allies. ix is to ensure that you can add more condition removal with your warhorn. xii; so you can heal yourself and your allies as well as take away negative buffs.
the food chosen is to ensure -40 percent condition duration on you and superior sharp stone adds power to you.
atlernatives
melandru runes – so your tougher.
hammer or gs instead of sword shield or sword warhorn. having a range weapon is always a good thing; so you can siege the walls.
sigil of stamina instead of energy may be used; so you can dodge constantly.
knights armor and weapon with cavalier ascended for more toughness and damage since a warrior already has high hp.
It’s pretty much open and catered to how you play, but i recommend sword shield as a warrior commander based on what your request.

i run this as commander and also as roamer, it features longbow which is a must have in my opinion in wvw, since its the only warrior weapon that can put ranged pressure on a wall. i use fear me instead of on my mark in wvw. also outside spvp put some stack sigil on horn, condition damage or healing.

My favorite, assuming you have a frontline of heavies all running Shouts/Soldier Runes: 0/10/30/30/0 Guild Comp Frontline Warrior. 27,000+ Health, 3200+ Armor (considered baseline in T1, fwiw), good team support, good mobility, good damage. Details in the guide.

Probably not the best reason for a commander to carry a Longbow, leave wall clearing to your zerg.
Mobility (GS/Sword/Hammer) = survival = #1 priority for a commander.
You will never die, even when your zerg does.
Haha, >3< this one’s a fun build. Pretty much very op because of the conditions.
