I have a challenge for people who like doing builds for warrior.
I am looking for a strong build that utilises a shield. Preferably with sword but that bit I can live with. Either for WvW, PvE or sPvP.
I have 2(3) warriors and Im happy with the classic GS and axe & mace build. Hambow is a bit dull in sPVP. So i am looking for some diversity. I understand that this will probably be out of date when the zerk gear is nerfed, but I am musing already

0/25/30/0/15 ). This would be for sword/shield. The 25 in arms takes advantage of the bleeds(longer bleeds and more damage to bleeders) and offers a higher crit % for sword. The 30 in Defense offers the shield skills (Shield mastery, missile deflection) regen based on adrenaline and Cleansing Ire—lots to choose here. The grandmaster trait offers power(10%) based on toughness—free power for being tanky. Also take Defy Pain at grandmaster this will save you especially in pvp and wvw. The 15 in Discipline grants Warrior sprint (25% runspeed for wielding melee weapons) and 5 sec . weapon swap which is tough to live without.
The DPS is not optimal for dungeon speed runs, but you can have fun and be effective with a non elitist group. In wvw this should serve well. Good hp regen, tanky, with good crit % and crit damage and good condition damage as well. Also great mobility and an interrupt that’s hard to dodge. Auto Endure Pain too.
Back before I started maxing precision, I ran a hybrid build based around sword/shield and GS. Using superior guardian runes and Mighty Defenses, you can burn on every block while increasing condition damage. The usual rotation would be Shield Stance during multihit attacks, Frenzied flurry with sword, switch to GS to proc a Geomancy sigil, and frenzied HB to turn most unwitting opponents into hamburger.
Since I run stances now, I mixed the two together for something like this:

Spvp I use that build with zerk amu + celes jewel & full lyssa. Actually great against decaps and offensive guards since the spike surprises.
I like something similar in WvW. Might on block instead of reflect though. I like the way you can pop up a defensive skill only to perhaps gain like 10 stacks of might and then go into a burst rotation w/ GS.
I run this in WvW, you weren’t specific on solo, small man or guild group.

If going for smaller scale, full zerker sw/sh and gs is nice. You shield bash/flurry then swap GS and 100b. Can use many different trait setups for something like this depending on personal playstyle.

Just change my main from guardian to warrior and I want to build shield + sword\axe gameplay. Going to kinight + soldier stats(30% crit chance with food). If someone can give me a good advice for solid build…?)

Just dusted off my warrior after spending time with my Necro and Ranger. Since they were both focused on damage I decided to go a tank/heal type on my Warrior. Shield/Axe, second set is dual maces as a test
Not a great build since it was done for as cheap as I could. In 1 vs 1 (when I was able to dodge the zergs) I was unkillable due to the amount of healing and damage reduction. The battles lasted too long due to the terrible damage output, some fights we both just gave up, bowed and went our separate ways
In zergs i’m usually the last one standing, happens all the time now we’re matched with two heavily populated servers.
High survivability, great in some group fights, abysmal damage. Trying a new build later, swapping shouts for banners and stances for more group/zerg support.

Post patch I’ve change my roaming Hammer/SwSh build to this after dueling in OS for several days.
