Change axe 2 to a mobility skill
Yeah, 2 is pretty lackluster. I think I’d rather have a block or interrupt there, though. Evis is a short enough CD to use with mobile strikes effectively.
Axe ‘2’ and ‘4’ need a fix.

I feel like Vulnerability is what’s lackluster.
Make it a 1200 range blink XD
Or perhaps if it was a projectile reflect for the animation duration, that could be somewhat handy without being overpowered. I always felt they should add that to axe 5, but that thing does last quite a while.
Double vulnerability effect (2% per stack), cap it at 15 stacks, problem solved.
Nah, make axe 3 a pull.
Nah, leave it. Change offhand axe 4 to a gap closer. That way you can run dual axes and not look like a kittening moron while being kited to pieces by an engineer.
really bad engineer

This would probably be the best solution to make axe offhand viable in PvP. Would still be lackluster in PvE, though.
I agree that skill 4 would be better for a gap closer to make the off-hand Axe more wanted at least in PvP, I wouldn’t mind it in PvE for getting around faster either.
Swift Chop: Leap at your foe (750 range) and strike them with your Axe with a speedy chop, gain Swiftness for 4 seconds for each foe hit. 12 second cool down.
I also want to see Whirling Axe damage increased in PvE. I think it should do about the same damage as Hundred Blades, maybe a little less because you can dodge while using it and hits more foes, but has a much longer cool down
Axe definitely needs a boost, as it offers a lot less than Sword, GS, Hammer… it’s just an Evis tool basically.
I’d say make it an Offensive Support tool.
Dual Strike: Grants Fury to you and allies per enemy hit.
Cyclone: 4vuln to enemies, 1might to you and allies per enemy hit.
Throw Axe works like GS#5 of Guardians except on 1 target, press once to stick axe in them, press again to pull them to you.
Nah, make axe 3 a pull.
That would have to come with an increase in the cooldown time, considering that all of the pull skills in the game have at least a 12s cooldown, most of them 15s+.

Well, either you would have to make it require a target or you would’ve just made Sword/Axe into a full-on bunnyhopping set.
And it’s not like no one ever uses axes. It’s still the go-to weapon for PvE and cyclone axe sees plenty of use.

Would be pretty hilarious to run sword/axe+GS with bull’s rush and snow leopard. Catch me if you can! (hint: you can’t)
The problem is that it was probably balanced around the idea of using it as a very short cooldown whirl finisher… but they’re awful right now. Whirl finishers need a buff, or this skill needs to go. It’s weaker than an auto attack, so what’s the point? To cover your stronger conditions? Who uses axes and conditions?
Poor design.
didn’t move.
