Guild Wars 2

I’m not a big fan of heavy classes, but I’d like one for crafting purposes. I need help deciding between warrior or revenant. I’ll mostly be crafting on it, pvp, and roaming alone or with a friend in wvw. Any suggestions?

Read the many threads in here detailing PvP and WvW builds. Watch some of their posted roaming videos, keeping an eye specifically on skill usage, and judge if you can/want to play like that. Many of the threads and vids have posted with them explanations of the intent of their builds.

You obviously don’t have to use their builds and play like they do, but it should give you a feel for how the class feels to play in those circumstances.

The great and mighty Warrior all the way, of course! Revenants and guardians just suck, one barely manages to summon crumbling old farts from the mists, the other is just good at hunkering down against smelly undead…

If you just want to choose without caring about finding a ‘good personal match based on the classe’s game mechanics’ then the right choice is definitely to roll a revenant.

I ve played Warrior and Rev for quite some time.

Do what Eph told you but keep in mind about some stuff you may not distinguish from the very beginning about the Revenant :

1) Its really hard to find a good enough build that doesn’t include Elite Spec
2) Revenant has a lot of bugs right now… when I say a lot I mean ALOT and some are stupidly obvious!
3) Power Revs have quite high DPS but die to condi builds like no other
4) Till now, their mobility is getting nerfed patch after patch

EDIT : The 4 points above are mentioned towards the Rev mostly (although some are true for warr, to a lesser extend)

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I’m aware that the rev has quite a long list of bugs. I just hope those bugs will be addressed very soon.
