Guild Wars 2

Hey all!

Been away from GW2 for a while now, been playing other things.

Anyways, need advice on a, “Returning class”, and I feel Warrior might be it.

For the most part I will be using him/her for WvW (Solo/Small-Group) along with sPvP, I’ll dabble into PvE such as Fractals, and farming a spot like Silverwaste Events/Chests ect.

Was wondering what are some good builds that would perform well? I would like to try out the Condi Berserker build, but, don’t know if that would function throughout the different areas.

You’ve come back to a golden time for warrior my friend. Just fingers crossed the upcoming patch doesn’t nerf the class to the ground.

Condition or power right now are both very strong in PVE and WvW (arguably power is better in the latter for the general wvw playstyles both small scale and zerg, but condition destroys in PVE content.)

In Spvp, it’s a fair mix between carrion longbow+mace shield and your cookie cutting Zerker GS+Axe or mace/ shield. I personally think condition is better but you can make that judgement yourself.

Since there isn’t really a meta condi build for wvw, this is something I’ve tinkered with casually.
The build is a tad broken in my opinion. You will demolish most 1v1s unless you get completely outplayed. A mirror fight lasts a very long time due to the sustain a warrior has. Keep in mind it’s crap in large scale and against organized groups due to the excess of resistance and heal bots out there.

For PVE and Spvp, just use metabattle lol.

Warrior is a good choice. I don´t play fractals but somtimes roam in WvW if in the mood for warrior and use him as backup in PvP. I only play power.

I made a very personal build but it´s very efficient for me. In Roaming you need mobility. And it´s very nasty in duels hitting dam hard without berserker. No endure/defy pain only impacts me when under heavy focus. I am usualy not very motivated to sap S/WH when roaming. Mace/Shield is a very strong duel set and you can swap to it before a fight (might put sigil of absorption in the mace). I usually open with a sword leap and can trigger both sigils maybe ripping stability and swap. (also set up those 15s vigor with WH before the clash) I have fun with it. It´s not optimized for raids but can do any PvE content with ease.

PvP build is demolisher amulet but it´s significant weaker there and mostly to outrotate necromancers i i see them stacked.

So I take it after today’s patch, Warriors are in an even greater spot, because the changes look amazing, am I right?

Just so you know meta pvp warrior didn’t change much with the path. At high pvp levels, warrior isn’t all that strong.

With the buff in Mesmer and Ranger, it will be hard to say whether warrior will be in a good spot.
