Conditions Warrior - I'm Convinced!
I suppose I shouldn’t tell you that you can get crazy sustain too
Why does everyone post essentially the meta s/s+lb build and try to claim they invented something new? It’s weird. You don’t see people posting Mace/Shield+GS builds acting like they just discovered the new world, but when it comes to this condition build people act like an angel appeared to them in the night and gave them some revealed wisdom.

Oh, I won’t take credit for this build at all! I’m still learning how to play this class and didn’t know it was the “meta” build for Conditions.
My warrior was always the rifle + GS and though the crits are fun, I hated it for roaming. This is been a ton of fun so far.
I got rolled by a mace/sword +lb condi war.
He played very well and I was impressed.
A four signet warrior, wow…..shakeshead
A four signet warrior, wow…..shakeshead
That’s pretty much the correct utilities for spvp actually.
Yes condi-war is definately a thing.
A four signet warrior, wow…..shakeshead
Those utilities look solid to me.
Well folks, as some of you know, I leveled up 4 characters to 80 and then pretty much quit the game. I recently came back to my Warrior which has been my favorite character even though I couldn’t find a way to make her a decent roamer. Anyways, I found this amazing S/S + LB condition build and thus far, it’s freaking amazing!
The main point is (like all condition builds) to simply stack the “DoTs” on the target and then watch them die. The nice trick with the warrior is that you’re still getting nice crit damage as well. Well, below is the build I’m using and found it to work rather well.
What do you all think of this?
Not sure I agree on Opportunist. The only immobilize you have is on a 25s cooldown and you’re already getting 30s of Fury from Signet of Rage.

Heheheheh thats my build that I posted on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxBU1sgjtBc) back in august nice to see people liking it. You have another immobilize on your sword as a burst skill so you can actually use Opportunist to get permanent fury which is very nice to have

While that is true, I would still pick Blademaster for the extra 10%. Considering your Fury uptime, that yields to an average +22.5% crit chance, whereas perma-Fury is capped at 20%.
im not an expert AT ALL
but im looking for a new build and im searching
in fact i will buy an exotic gear so i want to know what to buy
so if any body could help me
is this a good build to choose ?
i kinda like doing dungeons can this buld be my thing or is it better to be more support
i hope you guys can help
and thanks for the creator of the build it looks great
this is a Spvp or WvW build. its very similar to the sword/sword longbow build except it has a lot more support options. actually this build is superior to sword/sword longbow in spvp in nearly every way
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fIAQNBjYDbk0JGu6R4BHSggPohHFJxUoPMHJFnBbA-TsAg2CqIaS1krJTTymsNN6YVx2DA
one of this best things about this build is it contains the possibility of protection up time. in WvW yesterday i fought a greatsword/mace warrior, longbow ranger and guardian at once and was winning because they kept on spamming vulnerability at me letting me turn it into protection.
(if you think warrior is over powered right now, warrior is really over powered when it has access to protection.)
also unlike a 4 signet sword/sword longbow warrior this build is a lot more group orientated. so you aren’t only removing conditions from yourself, but your allies as well. (and warbanner for clutch revives)
@Fiorrello,
Not sure I follow you (granted I only made 80 on my warrior a few days ago). How is the WH all that effective? By dropping the off-hand sword, you give up a huge block ability and that nice extra condition you can use with the #4.
The other problem I have found with the condi build in general is that when you face off against a Necro, things don’t end well. All those conditions I apply are sent right back to me.

thats kind of where the warhorn comes into play. instead of having to build up and land your burst you can use your warhorn to remove your conditions for you. the big main condition removing skill has a 12 second cooldown and effects all allies in a 1200 range radius. on top of that it turns bleed and torment into vigor and poison (one of our big counters) into regen.
so the trade off is instead of a fairly decent block and another dot condition you are gettting aoe weakness, condition removal, and a blast finisher.
Sorry to break it to you but this is a pretty stock standard condi warrior build…
really bad engineer

Ok, you’ve convinced me to give it a try but I must say, my duel swords look amazing so this might hurt my overall sexiness…

You are wrong with the war horn dude…
Call to arms (#5) just grants vigor and weakens foes in 600 radius.
Charge (#4) Grants swiftness and cures crippled, chilled, and immobilize in a 1200 radius.
If you are using the Quick Breathing trait, which turns ONE condition on you into a boon. If you got 4-5 conditions on you, and none of which are cripple, chilled, immobilize, or weakness, and say those conditions are blind, vulnerability, bleeding, burning and confusion. any of the 2 skills with Quick Breathing will convert a random condition into a boon…and the sad part is, that if you already have a boon, it could simply stack that boon and not give you regen like you hoped.
This WH version is pretty impressive though. I just had a 10+ minute battle against a D/D ele that was probably the most exciting duel I’ve ever head. At the end, I could get her down to almost nothing but could never finish her off. The constant regen was really nice.
I think I’ll be sticking with this for a while and see how things go.
condition warriors have existed for a while, even pre cleansing ire patch. I’ve been using one since april or may and decided to make a video of it because I saw very very few condition warrior build videos on youtube.
then suddenly i see 100’s of these condi warrior videos pop up everywhere then I just stopped using it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWk2XYm2LiI
this vid is very old (footage from May I believe) and outdated but it draws on the same premise of having tons of sustain, tankiness, condi removal while being able to stack loads of bleeds on the opponent.
I’ve seen more recent builds use banners, stack more healing power. Some people don’t even use shouts/banners or put any points into tactics as they feel healing signet is sufficient enough and instead focus on having more power to counter condition removal.

I feel you there. Before cleansing ire you were forced to use warhorn and not just spam bow f1 on the ground , hence you couldnt use sword offhand and your dps was a lot lower.I was using a build like yours for roaming since march april too but wiith a mix of power/condi.Sword auto was really viable for it especially with might stacking.Tbh i didn’t see a single condi war in wvw che ntill the recent patches. Now they grow like shrooms cuz lb cleanse makes it extremely easy to play.
Now i use an entirely different condi build without the longbow. It’s harder to play but a lot more rewarding too.Game is changing, we move on.

Either way, it’s a nice change from the traditional zerker build. The increased survivability+mobility makes it very fun as a roamer.
I have actually been running a power-based Sword/Shield + LB build with 0/30/20/0/20 for a while now. Currently trying out 0/30/20/20/0 because of this thread.

30/20/20 is great for condi, and you can switch it for more support by going 20/20/30 if you want. The build will still feel close to the same, while having slightly less damage. It has much more freedom in how you want to spec at any given time.
A four signet warrior, wow…..shakeshead
Those are condi clear and stability, they’re not running the rather weak offensive signets.

“Famous”? Not “most valued in terms of money”? And those two are not equivalent, considering that barely anyone knows of Carlos Slim.
Not to mention that Nike takes its name from the Greek goddess of victory.
Talk about irony.

what do you guys think about the following traits/gear etc.?

Forceful Greatsword? That trait doesn’t work with swords. And Sigil of Generosity is strictly superior to Purity.
thanks Olba: I forgot to change the ‘strength’ traits. Correct now
How good would taking 10 out of arms and into tactics be? Leg specialist with sword auto sounds REALLY strong.

10 second internal cooldown on Leg Specialist makes it not-so-hot for sword auto-attack.

Quote honestly, I would ditch Defy Pain and put 10 more into Arms and grab Furious. Gotta remember that Endure Pain, and by extension Defy Pain, only blocks direct damage while letting conditions go through just fine.

This is a build that I used for quite awhile in WvW and it was pretty effective.
If you can get the dire stat combination it is even better because precision is kind of a wasted stat with the build and if I went more healing power, I would have lower toughness and lower condition damage.
I ditched the 50% bleed duration in favour of more adrenaline gain in discipline as I felt the food and the 50% bleed duration was overkill. It has high sustainability due to shouts, high toughness and a decent health pool. I also opted to use the shield because the stun bash is great for setting up moves such as flurry, pindown, etc and can proc your fire shield plus the block is better.
It is really preference though if you want the extra 50% bleed duration it may be better in certain situations, dual swords is better for quicker kills while the shield allows you better control and better survivability.
It can deal well with conditions because shouts remove conditions, cleansing ire and berserker stance. It also does great against almost any type of build.
Perplexity runes can be nice too but you sacrifice some tankiness and condition removal for better killing power. Lyssa runes are an option too, certainly effective but you need to ditch adrenaline on shouts for signet mastery to make it worth it. Gives you extra condition duration, the precision is pretty useless but the boons you get along with your 30% boon duration makes it amazing.

signets are for solo play. other utilities, or most of them are for teamplay.
People seems using word “trolling” out of context way too often…
What do you guys think about the following build? I’m trying to create some kind of balanced build that could also rely on decent crit as a ‘plan b’! Any thoughts? thanks

Your Plan B isn’t going to work. Your physical damage is kitten low: A full Soldier with no food, runes nor jewels would have ~12% more damage.

I changed the runes to undead: the build with peplex was just a test.
What would you reckon I need for a balanced condi build to keep my ‘plan B’ open?

Well, I would think that the first step is to actually think of it as a hybrid rather than a condi-build with a secondary option. And that starts in your gear choices. Currently, all of your gear is condi-centric. If you really want to make Power an option, you have to ditch some of your condi damage for that.
For an example, this build has about 30% more physical damage and 30% less condition damage than your spec.
This on the other hand is something that I have been considering testing on my own. It’s got 10% less condi damage but 24% more physical damage than the build above, and it’s got far better defenses against conditions.

You shouldnt explain people how to make godbuild warrior… It takes long to find out how to play and set it up. Most people are new to warrior they have to step their way and find themself what is the godlike build XD and how it works…
Sad part is that it’s a very efficient build that was used even before the signet of healing buff by most experimented warriors. Now because everyone runs that signet in any build AND because people have NO IDEA about game mechanisms in close combat fights and how other powers can affect and have more impact of the efficiency of the healing signet many are complaining without having any clue how and why and what happen really : lack of knowledge of “sustain optimisation set up in close combat fights”. Just don’t give anymore hint they are too young to understand XD.
Hint : Anet moved +150 empowered allies to tier 2 because of the need to nerf that specific build…
About conditions builds; they are powerful for any class and are efficient for warrior set up.

I’ve looked at the metabattle site and cond warriors don’t seem to be considered highly!!
Any comments?
nice necro :P only hambow is considered highly, don’t take the ratings too seriously

Yeah, a necropost maybe, but I think it’s relavent. Would be nice to see updates to it.
I saw a S/S LB Condi-Warrior the other day in WvW absolutely wrecking people left and right.
EDIT: It might’ve been a hybrid build too btw. I remember one instance where he fired off a Combustive Shot and took off half the target’s life that instant and then the next second shaved off an additional quarter.

I don’t like playing condi builds at all on my warr, tbh it feels like cheapmode seeing torment tick for over 1k while not even moving, bleed ticking for 1200+,add fire, confusion, and poison..Apply and run around,it feels like and is playing easymode..
There are better condition builds lets just say you can instant kill anyone. Keep searching
is there such thing as a hybrid condi/power build?
