Since i don’t think Anet has any plan to make weapon skill switchable like utility slot. I have a crazy idea to rework Rifle skillset in order to fulfill the true role of this weapon as a primary, a single target burst with a dependent on critical damage instead of pure base damage.
*1 Marksman Shot
-Replace Bleeding Shot
-Remove the bleeding debuff
-Same base damage but higher critical damage bonus (totally relied on critical damage)
*2 Rifle Butt
-Replace Aimed shot
*3 Volley
-Same mechanic
*4 Brutal shot (10 second cooldown)
-Cripple opponent instead of stacking vulnerable
-Add Torment Debuff
-Also able to interrupt channeling skill
-High critical damage bonus
-Remove the cast time (become instant skill)
*5 Double Chamber (2 second cooldown)
-Consume 1 adrenaline bar each cast
-0,5 sec cast time
-Able to cast either Volley or Brutal shot, Ignoring their actual cooldown time
-Skill goes on cooldown after casting either Extra volley, or Brutal shot
*F1 Marksman Stance
-15 second duration
-Increase Skill Range up to 100/ 200/ 300 depend on adrenaline bar
-Cannot gain adrenaline while on Marksman Stance
-Decrease movement by 30%
-Increase cast time to 1 second, increase base damage
-Replace Brutal Shot Cripple debuff with 1,5 second stun, Add 1 second cast time
-Replace Double chamber with Remove Marskman stance
-Replace Marksman Stance with Killshot (1400 base range + marksman stance range bonus), press F1 again to cancel the skill and put it on 1 second cooldown
-Removing Marksman stance without using Killshot will reduce Adrenaline Bar by 1
While replace/ adding trait on tier 2 Discpline which increase rifle critical damage.
