CritWAR help please
It does nothing special.
Enjoy it while it last, before you out-level it.
Do you even lift, bro?
not true, Hundred blades which is suppose to do 344 damage, i do 751… i’d say thats pretty special
How did you hit 99% critical chance at level 20 ??
It’s the fist trait in Arms, which gives +40 precision for each unused signet. It’s insane at low level, and largely irrelevant at higher levels.
Inactive: Guardian, Elementalist, Ranger, Thief (ex-main)
Leveling: Engineer, Necromancer
nobody seems to be answering my question lol…
It’s been a while since I was level 20, however I can confirm that to get that crit rate you’re sacrificing power for precision in almost every regard. Precision does not affect your damage, neither does it affect your crit damage. It only affects how often you do crit. By this logic, every point over 100% crit is a waste of stat allocation. Also Hundred blades doing 791 damage at level 20 is actually a little low. If you add a little power back into your armor and accessories you might be able to reach 900+. If you’re still confused at to why your hundred blades is able to hit that high it’s due to the fact that each hit of 100 blades is capable of critical damage. Take the number given and times it by two and you have a more accurate figure of the skills capability.
As a bigger benefit. You can swing on over to the Guildwars 2 Wiki to learn more about the stats and how they affect you. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Attribute

Swing and a miss!
My point is that going over 100% critical hit chance grants you no special benefits.

thats not at all what you said, i see you corrected your answer after reading some other peoples responses, so you should put that “swing and a miss” as a response to your original comment

thanks bro you hit the nail on the head, going to the wiki page, i found this

At higher character levels, it takes an increased amount of precision to add 1% to the chance of hitting critically (since the formula depends on the square of one’s level):
3.16 points at L20
7.24 points at L40
13.24 points at L60
21 points at L80 (the amount required seems to be rounded down from the 21.16 predicted by the formula1).
At 80, the base precision you have is 916, with a crit chance of 4%. At 937 precision, it goes up to 5% crit chance. So to identify if you have any wasted precision, subtract 916 from your total precision, and then check if the end number is divisible by 21.

Which pretty much answers all my questions.
Thanks again

That is precisely what I said.
You asked what happens when you pass 100% critical hit chance and in both my posts I stated that it does nothing special – you do not get any benefit from stacking it higher.

Yes it was so “precise” that to my 3 part question you picked the most vague and elementary way to answer it’s actually pretty amazing. You definatly belong here answering these forum questions because you are so “precise”.
Just because you don’t grasp enough English to understand my (rather simple, to be honest) witty response doesn’t mean you have to get your knickers in a bunch about it. I answered your question in a type of English most people would understand. Not my problem.
You: If I have over 100% critical hit chance, do I get any sort of benefit?
Me: No, it does nothing special.
I don’t see how you’re having problem understanding that?

I guarantee my english is light-years ahead of yours. You blew past 3 questions, and attempted to answer one or all three like an elementary student. You dont belong here helping people. Deal with it.
You are aware critical damage is a completely different stat, right? It can be increased, but as others have said, not with critical chance.
Maximizing DPS:
Damage multipliers such as Attack Of Opportunity (10% more damage on bleeding targets) is something you should prioritize. Next comes base damage from weapon along with critical damage. 50% base critical rate is enough considering with unsuspecting foe, you may get to 100% without a problem.

yes sir
once you hit lvl 60 or something signets become horrendous and arent worth the +40 precision.
and having more the 100% crit is pointless, not too mention you cant count fury in that seeing as how its not a permanent boon.
youd be MUCH better off with a 50-60% chance to crit and utilities worth a crap.
Let me be clear and help you in the most basic sentence known.
ANYTHING OVER 60% CRIT. CHANCE IS TOTALLY USELESS.
You’re missing out on power (which increases how hard you hit and inturn directly influences how hard your crits hit)
And you’re missing out on CRIT DMG, which is the most important thing to increase when you’re creating a crit build!
I agree.
60%+Heightened Focus (if it does work) seems to be the “sweet spot”.

Learn2English, bro. Also learn2be thankful for advice, you’re acting like a whine little child just because you couldn’t understand my answer.
Yea use your little learn2english response when you’ve been obliterated by logical responses and have nothing else to say. Sad yet predictable.

Yea im going to go for about 80-100% crit chance, everything else is going into crit damage and damage. Thank you.
