Damage for sPvP: Is Signet the best heal?
yes it is the best heal, other heals you can use it for fun, but don’t expect much from them.
i even use it with 60006 yolo builds, not to mention the gs/lb build which i used the most 40406
I really want to like Mending combined with Restorative Strength. It’s not going to touch the raw healing of the Healing Signet, but it does have it’s purpose. It can potentially cleanse the difference if used at the right time.
It’s tough not to take Healing Signet though. I haven’t played a lot of Warrior lately, but in situations with a lot of poison I could see Mending to be on par with Healing Signet.
As said above, healing signet has best heal per second and synergizes well with adrenal health. It also provides more active gameplay as you dont worry about getting heal interrupted.
Mending could be as useful when fighting condi classes but you still need to invest 1 trait in it (redtorative strength). It would also synergize well with on heal proc runes.
Healing surge i find isnt viable in pvp because of massive cooldown. But i gues if you need adrenaline a lot for an axebow build and go yolo, then its a nice refill.
its a shame that warriors get so many good healing skills which none of us will ever use because signet is just so dam good!
offer a ranger Mending and i bet they’d leap at the idea of a 20 second, moderate heal that also removes 3 condis,
offer defiant stance to a guardian, the ability to convert all incoming damage to healing (just as Mark of Protection did in GW1) and many would take it.
i often think that Defiant Stance and Litany of Wrath were given to the wrong classes,
healing yourself for a percentage of damage dealt seems so much like a zerker warrior skill.
Defiant stance should have been Mark of Protection, a monk skill from GW1 which functions the same, guardians have lots of GW1 monk skills.
Litany should have been named Warriors Endurance and given to warrior.
i’ve gone off on a total tangent now haven’t I? XD
back on subject, yep healing signet is one of the best heals in the game, it outheals pretty much every other heal and you don’t even need to activate it

Eh idk about that. Every ranger heal except water spirit is very strong, some of the best in game up there with healing signet and turret

Try using mending or healing surge on warrior in any serious play and see your self destroyed.
Sure by logic, Healing surge(10k+ HP with 30 CD) or Mending (5k+ hp 3 condi with 20 CD) should be the one hell of a healing skill , but that’s not the case in balancing.
Warrior were never viable in tPvP scene, ever. before healing signet buff.
It’s like saying warrior will definitly love the idea of having protection on dodge, and warrior will be insanely good.
or having 1500 range hundred blade warrior will be god like.
it just doesn’t work that way.
And you wouldn’t want defiance stance at all, i’m not sure why would you want that kitten skill, except it sounds more guardian like and litany sounds more warrior like.
the fact is, any enemy with a brain will stop attack the moment they see your stance up, it has a kittenty base heal with 35 CD and in the meta were big number doesnt exist but continusly applied small damage, this healing is just complete kitten.
AND also, healing signet is not the best healing skill in game, it’s the best warrior healing skill in game, best healing skill game in game is called healing turret.

I would like Mending to be favorable, it’s just still missing something. One of the following improvements would be a great help.
1. Cool down reduced to 15 seconds
2. Base Heal Amount Increased
3. Turned into a Physical type skill. Physical Training trait then could either improve the heal AND reduce the cooldown.
4. Gain a certain amount of Adrenaline for each condition removed.
Personally I would like option 3 the most. But I’ll take option 1 because the heal is so low, the recharge should be faster.
This will clear up certain things. On a DPS spec, defiant stance is a lot more favorable specially in a team fight situation where there are plenty of cleave. If you skirmish a lot and is against a team with not many cleave and evade while anticipates, then probably Healing Surge on a DPS spec.
Why not use healing signet on a DPS spec? Because guess what? On a DPS spec you will probably get crit faster than healing signet can heal you so you may as well do two simple things, attack to survive AND get burst healing/mitigation which counts for a lot. The adrenaline from surge still helps even if it’s not healing for maximum on DPS specs which require you to attack to survive and defiant stance gives you time to whack people for no trade-off even if they don’t attack you with defiant stance up.
Tarcis does okay with healing signet on his GS build, it’s just that it isn’t good against people who know how to count dodges and apply poison.
