Not sure if the community still remembers defektive but he was hell of a warrior. The best part about his builds is that they’re completely viable still in the december patch, because he always put 20 points in for the unsuspecting foe for his mace build.

I thought I’d share his mace build here and an inspired-by-him longbow build for you guys to use.

i found that burst mastery is pretty ‘meh’ for long bow and went for burning arrow instead.

Your kitten right! hell i am still using the sword/shield+longbow build almost every day with berserker amu…

But changes some traits:
0/30/20/0/20 furious works great with duel shot 2xcrit =4 adrenaline :-P

And i am not using blademaster but oppertunist (gain fury on immob > flurry/pindown..)

I am still Defektive vintage, so I grab a GS with the bow.XD

I’d play without Signet, but I’m scared of being weaker on purpose just for my pride.

@Jae, regarding your bow build: Is the bonus range and reduced recharge of longbow skills really worth going 20 into Tactics? If you spend the points in Arms you get the same 10% damage bonus that apply to all your attacks. Plus you would get a much higher crit chance (10% +10% for burst and sword skills). Damage-wise this should be the way better option. Or do you need the extra life and boon duration?

Who would forget Defektive? He has only been gone a couple months. I think his last bow build was actually 0 30 20 0 20 shortly after the cleansing ire patch actually.

I think the game has good mechanics and that’s what I loved about GW2. But I’m not a believer in the development team so the long term outlook of the game is the primary reason I left. I’m only willing to play again if there was a management shakeup of some kind.

My only question is Bolas? Did they fix the Z axis pathing?

I don’t know, but the succes rate increases dramatically if you can get a clear shot at point blank range. Very effective with 100 blades, without having to build around stun sacrificing out of burst damage.

Well, they are doing something. For example, solo queue seems better now than before. I joined communicative teams, fighting against good enemies. Before patch I barely did soloqueue because of how awful it was.

Yeah, I want to play BF4 but I doubt my PC will run it. I may pick it up and give it a shot anyway, but I won’t be building a new computer until next summer most likely. I built this one about 6 years ago, it ran Farcry 3 at decent FPS and medium settings @1920x1080 recently though.

I have mostly been playing through the entire Assassin’s Creed series (up to III) before I start on IV. Also playing GTA V and Tales of Xilia. After that I probably have about 3000 hours of gaming between my PS3 and steam backlog. lol I missed a lot of console and single player gaming because of my online gaming.

Well, yeah, it’s more efficient, but adding Berserker’s Power adds a little risk/reward factor: you can hold your bursts and don’t cleanse conditions to get a great damage increase. You are rewarded for not holding on your cleanses.

ya, i just like having more adrenaline at all times so I can do a max F1 on demand.

the last good BF was BF2 if you are really looking for the “team player” factor, also the development team is way worse in there, they cant acknowledge their bugs, bad balancing, neglecting original player base and “CoDfing” the whole series .

actually compared to DICE from a so called “BF2 veteran” view, Anet is not bad at all .

I think part of the issue is EA, but when comparing GW2’s team play to that of BF2-4, the BF series takes it hands down.

Personally I was extremely upset regarding the new Wolfenstein not having MP.

Looking at it from GW2’s perspective, they dropped the ball kitten combo fields when it comes to competitive PvP.

I’ve been using a build derived from his sword/wh + Hammer build since he posted it. It’s definitely the most fun build I’ve tried on Warrior.

I’ve been using something pretty similar to that GS/LB.

I’ve not played for a while and also have been playing BF4 and I feel jerked around while playing it. One game all your shots will hit and you’ll not have many BS deaths, then the next game you’re dying for no reason and point blank shots cause them to act like the were shot and no damage is done.

Teamplay can be good if you’re with a group but otherwise it’s terrible with puggies. I prefer 64 man servers but on those if only your squad is trying to win while the rest of your team sits on hills/rooftops it won’t typically make much difference. It feels like there were two groups at DICE, the campers and the objective players.

The campers added latches on rooftops, made many rooftops easy to access, claymores, and made bolt actions easier to use than any previous BF game. Meanwhile the objective guys made the XM25 Airburst, made objective play worth massive points, and mortars. Sadly, more players lean towards the camping side.

Lets be honest… there really aren’t any bad builds for the warrior right now. Some are less efficient but a player would have to get real creative to suck as a warrior.

Well, considering 60% of people in a match is composed by warrior, if you have a worse build than hambow you might endup being weaker than 50% of the people in the fight. Or 40-60% the enemy team.xD
