Indomitable:
Each time you gain a bar of adrenaline, you convert one condition into a small boon.
((Another idea was to call the trait: Empowered Rage.))
This is to fight against the Cleansing Ire, I feel like the skill isn’t what we need, we need something that constantly fights against conditions and it should be a Grandmaster trait.
(edited by Daecollo.9578)
(Since it is a convert, these are not effected by boon duration.)
Bleeding=Regeneration 3 sec.
Blind=Retaliation 3 sec.
Burning=Regeneration 3 sec.
Chilled=Fury 3 sec.
Confusion=Retaliation 3 sec.
Crippled=Swiftness 3 sec.
Fear=Stability 3 sec.
Immobilized=Fury 3 sec.
Poison=Regeneration 3 sec.
Vulnerability=Protection 3 sec.
Weakness=Protection 3 sec.
A little different then a guardian, we don’t gain or should have any aegis or vigor from this trait, I don’t feel like the warrior should.
(edited by Daecollo.9578)
Pretty cool idea.
I feel warriors should get a trait like this and a trait like cleansing ire. So you have an aggressive style of condition removal and a defensive style of condition removal.
Though I feel condition conversion is a bit much if a warrior gets access to a trait like this and cleansing ire and warhorn traits. He/she would basically convert 5-6 conditions to a ton of boons ><
@ daecollo
i dont think you know the boon to condition table
they are basically the same for all classes
bleed = vigor
blind= fury
weakness = might
immobilization = swiftness
chill= swiftness
burning is the odd ball since its either regen or ageis

I didn’t want it to be the same as those. There is no reason the warrior should have easy access to vigor/aegis.
The problem With this trait is that you can convert like 6 conditio s every 8 seconds, effectively destroying any condition built enemy.
Daecollo isn’t worried about balance, so don’t worry about providing a counterpoint here…
NOTE that I am not saying Warriors are fine as-is or balanced by any means (especially in PvP) but I have yet to see a thread from you, Daecollo, that doesn’t take something from bad or underpowered to ridiculously overpowered. There is no middle ground.

You should play the other classes then come back here and tell me that.

You can only convert three every 10 (8 if traited).
Do you understand how adrenaline works?
I guess I should just go on other forums and spread misinformation to never get anything fixed.

Nowhere did I say that other classes aren’t overpowered, or much better in comparison….just that most of your ideas are ridiculous. I would rather other classes have their abilities, etc. nerfed marginally than bring everybody up to a ridiculous level. And Warriors are not NEAR as bad you like to make them out to be. Every class should have a niche…they can’t ALL be fantastic at everything or there would be no point in differentiating classes.
But you do at least attempt to foster discussion.

Convert 3 conditions up to full adrenaline—>Burst—>swap weapons—>Burst…
It could be achieved pretty kitten quickly, assuming you have traits like Furious and multi-hit attacks like Axe 5, Flurry, etc. Flurry with Furious could easily achieve full adrenaline just by bursting. EACH Burst skill is on a separate 8 sec. cooldown, if traited…they aren’t on a global cooldown.
This would make my Sword/Axe/Longbow combo pretty kittening awesome though.
And then it goes it can only be done about 8-10 seconds, like I said.
Perhaps at the start of the fight, when you really arn’t punished by conditions… ?

Warrior has several ways to get Vigor, and a signet that increases endurance regen. I think Vigor is way under appreciated among fellow Warriors.

Warriors only way to get vigor is through Warhorn. Which I want to leave that way. ((Well, and using a stance, but nobody will ever use or get that trait.))

3 converts up to full adrenaline and then 3 again after bursting the first one…that would be six. The initial run to get full adrenaline would be the longest part of that…again, wouldn’t take too long. Achieving full adrenaline after the intial burst would be incredibly simple/quick, given the right weapon sets, etc.
I pretty much always run with Furious so maybe i’m used to building adrenaline super fast. I guess for non-Furious users it would take longer. It just seems like, for my playstyle, I would be basically immune to conditions at that point.
I guess you’re mainly talking about PvP though, so, this is a moot point. Until you see a PvE/PvP split on traits, etc. pretty much all of your ideas aren’t going to happen.

I mainly play PvE and/or WvW.
So while I know your answer to this response is going to be ‘lol kitten kitten no one cares about PvE’, the fact of the matter is that A-Net is balancing the game around all 3 types…and until you see a PvE/PvP split for skills, traits, etc. most of the ideas tossed around here aren’t going to happen.

I guess its fine that warriors are trash in SPVP, nobody will use them after the changes anyways.

All I’m saying is that if you’re looking for substantial buffs to a Warrior you need to note that the class isn’t likely to receive anything because of their dominance on the other side of the coin (PvE).
Nowhere did I say it was fine for Warriors to be ‘trash’ in sPvP. I’m simply providing a realistic viewpoint for you.

Sorry, but with nerf to berserker’s power/heightened focus, and with the damage buffs to guardian. Zerker Warriors recieved almost a 20-25% damage loss. They either will do less damage, be forced to go deeper into something for the same effect or lose critical chance and perma fury (30% critical chance.). (Since Discipline has all of our Critical Damage and Heightened Focus.) We can either go that route or lose Slashing Power/Berserker’s Power (25% Damage.) Or lose Forceful Greatsword.
You will soon be seeing this:
“LF2M zerker guard path 1 farm please ping gear on joining…….”
The game didn’t change, just the class choice…

And there we go with the insane hyperbole again. Don’t stop being you, man. Don’t ever stop.
I’ll leave you be now. Have a good day!
everyone talks big about traiting into adren gain but you dont realize if you wanna do that to counter conditions il just kittenin nuke you with my hammer for 15k and if you want to pop endure pain il just kite you for a couple seconds till it wares off. its balanced because its totally selfish and can only be used in two situations.
A= full bunker; oh kittenin boy bunkers so much fun ITS CALLED IGNORE THEM
B= full glass; you are dead GG I nuked you with my balanced warrior
go trait into full adren generation see how well that would work out…
Yeah sounds good, auto condition conversion.
No son, just no.

So your saying, its ok for every other class to have it. However if warriors have it its automaticly overpowered?
We are going to be doing less damage then guardians next patch, so why can’t we have icing on our cake too like they do? Can’t we all have a nice cake together?
