I don’t have a problem with it, I don’t recall getting hit by it once due to inability to mitigate it like dodging it. But people seem to have a major issue with it…
So I’d say 4: Increase cast time (1 sec?) Since so many people can’t dodge it…
And alter the animation so its not hidden when wielding legendary rifle, whether genuine animation change or, as I’d prefer, another unique animation for legendary rifle so it doesn’t blend in with the normal aura (I think it does atleast).
But imo cast time shouldn’t increase at all, only make it more visible when using legendary rifle. But ppl QQ about it being “unavoidable” lmao.

I main warrior rifle and I agree with the fact that gunflame is far much better than killshot, but its because of [Blood Reaction]+[Bloody Roar] that power up more the skill.
the cast time is fine, there is a lot of people who know when to dodge or reflect, and the visibility of the skill is enough too ! look at the mesmer, take massive load of clone on your screen that you can’t even see what hit you.
i think its fine to make that kind of choice : or you chose killshot and you deal much more damage, but the projectile and cast time is slower or take gunflame for spaming purpose, it has his own purpose especialy when you have to down a lot of people in WvW, sometime you just don’t have the time to load, so a fast casting F1 is necessary with the rifle.
but i agree, too much damage with gunflame.

Most of the elite specs are way superior than their core counterparts. Anet will/must balance them according to their own promises. It was them who said elite’s were not op skill additions but just different choices with the same power lvl.
the damage is fine if u nerf it then it really is gg goodnight for wars as they have nothing else that even comes close to the damage of other classes even cele builds do more damage than war atm. so dont nerf it just bring it into line
my suggestions
gunflame
add the laser targeting animations from the rifles u pick up in pve the one in the HOT maps that way its up to the other player to actually dodge the massive laser pointer aimed at their face this would also give a tell at massive range letting players dodge somthing they might just miss
killshot
make this more worth while to use that way more Adrenalin is uses for this killshot not gunflame so less gunflame spam. killshot is the easyist skill in game to dodge with its massive tell and the fact the war cant even move making them very vulnerable let alone the fact that if u just walk behind the war the skill will miss no joke as the war cant turn around while doing killshot.
so my suggestion would be ever to increase the damage of this skill a little or make this skill unblockable. so the war has the choice of fast gunflames or easy 2 evade killshot that will go through that reflect/block

true but haveing this one skill unblockable would mean u could carry something else instead of that signet
edit but yah super speed could be interesting

i still think that superspeed is a must, because it help catching up moving/fleeing target if she isn’t downed ^-^

Just a couple points:
ya but no one really uses signet mastery that much except for yolo purposes or PVE.
In fact, Signet Mastery is becoming the preferred line for big fights in wvw.
You lose out on a net +15% or so from the Strength line, but double your unblockable time (more actually, with sig cd reduction). You could even switch to all Valk gear for more durability because your crit chance can be kept high enough without it, and you’ll have guaranteed crits on gunflame regardless.
With all the blocks, aegis, etc in blobs, that unblockability is really important to getting your blasts through to the next target. Much more so than the extra raw damage to be had through the Strength line anyway.

Good to know I don’t wvw that much anymore, but I guess back line gunflame warrior is a thing now. I generally run the same build when I roam as I do in PVP. GS A/S with berserker spec instead of Str. You do lose out on a sone dammage. But I think taking eternal champion and sloting CI over Last stand makes it a lot more viable. Since with the superior cleansing of zerker spam and CI I take DOE over brawlers its not a huge loss.

I might be a minority in WvW comunity but,
here is my build in WvW, as i main rifle, i rarely die and being unblockable that much greatly help to down zergs, it often change the fight in our advantage ( 5 downed induce zerg rushing on them :p)
its a full glass canon build
