So I have one character slot left and it’s between Warrior and necro! As of now I am leaning towards Warrior and was just wondering if the warrior community could answer a few questions!
1. What are warriors like for wvw roaming?
2. Is there a lot of build diversity?
3. How do you preform in s/t pvp?

Yes..Off Hand axe isn’t as good as it looks on the tool tip though. Id stray away from it. Main hand axe is good though.

Multiple builds, depending on what you are trying to accomplish in WvW, whether roaming or general, is always a good idea. I like the axe/axe setup, but there is a thread about it here:

And GS seems to be the favorite in WvW for any occassion. But ultimetly, play how YOU want and bring what can best add to the whole.

They’re great! Condition builds are lethal (with many variations, including a bit of confusion), and direct damage builds are excellent (GS has power and superb mobility, hammer buries foes in the earth…).

It depends on the content you’re playing. In PvE, honestly, no. In WvW or PvP, I can imagine about 15-20? viable builds. You’ll find that a warrior is powerful and resilient, with a dynamic gameplay (but IMHO easier to master than the ones of the elem or the mesmer).

“Hambow”, a warrior playing Hammer and Longbow, is one of the most solid build in PvP (check out the tournament of legends, you’ll find that lots of players used it). There are other builds as well, but then you’d have to trait for the role you intend to play. You’d probably do very well, but not as well as a specialized class (say a bunker guardian or a softtarget thief).

If I may suggest, try both classes out in PvP for a week each, and see which one you’re willing to develop. You can always buy an additional character slot later
