I was thinking that also. But I need a sec to re trait and go back. 10% shouldn’t effect it since swiftness overwrites it. But you could be right. Either way there is something wrong here.

Why are you so roundabout about measuring distances?
Comparing distances means, one of the 2 is bugged when an unexpected result occurs.
Just compare rush range to traited range on arcing arrow.
Also, do it with a target selected. It might fall short due to being untargeted.(no1 ever said, it necessarily travels the whole distance when having no target)
The mob has spoken and the turrets shall be burnt at the stake.
Does rush go further with Warrior’s Sprint traited?

Need to re read my post. I am not so worried about the range but the travel distance of 2 skills that should move the same distance as I said I used Shadowstep to measure since the range is supposedly 1,200 flat. I can post the picks of how far it goes. I needed a skill that move the character for comparison. The cursor is invisible but I checked the Shadowstep distance vs Cluster Bomb and the cursor distances were the same.
BTW it’s not roundabout they should all be relatively equal.

Try the same with sword leap and bullrush..yeah its weird, either leap has a range of 850 meters or bullrush has 650 instead of 900
I ran (literally) some tests on a training dummy in Lion’s arch. Without any speed buffs it was moving me about 1150. This was at the range where you could swing an attack for damage but auto- attacks will not start. With speed buffs it was moving me further than 1200. I was using a rifle range as the benchmark for 1200.
Once rush ran over 1200m and closed to the target without the rush damage. Auto-attacks were able to start though. Maybe that’s right, maybe not. I’m guessing that if you overlook movement glitches on obstacles, rush range is tolerably similar to 1200m.

That is interesting. My main issue is then the range of RtL being so long. Now my test were the same the range of shadowstep was exceeded by rush with swiftness by a good margin. Either way between the movement skills it seems there are some legit discrepancies. Rush may move 1200+ with swiftness but its range is fully exceeded by RtL.

Rush should go 1600m tbh, and have a jumping animation AND be an AOE so it does not miss.

This might sound like sarcasm but that isn’t too far off from where it should be 1400m max, aoe hit, better pathing, and Jump animation if you have a target (that type of range with one full jump might be a bit OP without a target).

Hmm I am really surprised this got such little attention. Considering all the hate for DD ele and RtL.

RtL currently slightly elevates the character at the beginning and the falls at the end of the animiation making character continue to travel (slide) after the effect which is why RtL goes ~1500. Rush is ground-based and does not elevate the character (quite the opposite if obstacles are in the way). You can test this with taking the Ele off a cliff that does damage for falling (but does not kill the Ele because you will take slightly more damage using RtL off a cliff).
Warning: My testing was limited to lag/server and positioning so it may be prone to error.
That’s why you are seeing the differences (especially out of combat) when the full range of the ability is in effect.
