Does it get any harder?
in higher areas the regeneration won’t be enough anymore, you’ll have to actively play and use your skills in order to survive. but it will still be way easier than with the ele. I’d say it starts to pick up at around lvl 40 and gets a bit challenging at lvl 60 areas – by which I mean, if you pull as many enemies as before, you’ll have to be on your toes. its still easy-mode ;-)
Because Warrior has high health and armour (plus the fact that NPC’s aren’t intelligent), you’ll typically have an easy time in PvE with normal trash mobs – especially if you use the ever popular Greatsword. Honestly though, at higher level PvE and in dungeons even if you were a defence stacked Warrior you won’t be just standing there watching and eating.
Personally I actually find my Thief to be a far easier class in PvE due to all those escape skills… plus caltrops and Shortbow for kiting heaps of anything :P.
Yeah in higher levels the signet will not be enough…
In those areas you’ll need to have 15 pts in defense for an additional regen, and drop a banner regen, and eat some pie for an additional regen.
and then you’ll still be able to sit back and watch your warrior beat hordes without pressing keys.
Hopefully I never have to run a dungeon with the OP, because he’s going to be terrible.
“He’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup.”
Yes, this is a clear sign that he is and will continue to be terrible.
Edit: The forums’ sarcasm tags seem to be broken, ah well.
That’s what she said.
yeah i leveled a mesmer first then tried a warrior and was stunned at how easy mode it was. the signet regeneration is completely over the top and trivializes pve. mesmer is “dodge or die”, “kite to survive” and warrior is supperior damage and laughing tank the damage.
You can faceroll through leveling like this, get’s a bit harder in dungeons though where mobs actually deal damage to you.
Signet builds are very good for low level Warriors. For higher levels it won’t be anywhere near enough for fighting veterans.
There are also varying levels of difficulty when it comes to veterans as well – some seems to be only slightly tougher than normal mobs while others take ages to take down (note that these are just randomly placed Vets, not dungeon/event spawns). My Warrior can sometimes rip through them with ease, while others have me running like a girl.
In dungeons, as said above, there is no standing about for the Warrior. You will need to dodge, kite and CC those mobs with the rest of your group.
Healing signet scales terribly, so eventually you can’t just auto-regen all the damage you take. You will probably want to switch to mending by level 60-ish. Warrior is pretty easy to level though i’ll admit, the only rough patch for me was the first few levels when i was learning the game.
