Dolyak Signet a lesser Balanced Stance?
Depends on build. If your really squishy dolyack could be the way to go. If your not balanced stance is better.

I think dolyak signet, when traited, is better then balanced stance now.
180 Toughness, especially in sPvP, is no joke. For most people that is a total armor increase of 6-7%. True, it has a 20% longer CD still, but helps the other 40 seconds as well.

I always rage but never quit.
I’ve seen a lot of people talk about the 180 toughness, but realistically, unless you run dolyak as a backup to balanced stance, you will have used it in the first 5-10s into a fight. When you use it you won’t get the 180 toughness until the CD is up. Balanced stance on the other hand recharges 8s shorter and provides 8s of swiftness, which is quite key as I brings your swiftness uptime to 38/48s with signet of rage.

Think about it another way: for 8 seconds extra cooldown you get 180 passive toughness when you’re not using it. Personally I don’t care that much for the extra swiftness (have enough), so why wouldn’t I?
I just wish Dolyaks passive was properly balanced with a Guardians Signet of Judgement.
Judgement reduces incoming damage by 10%
Dolyak adds 180 toughness, which is about 6%?

If you do have enough swiftness you don’t need it. Then it’s debatable. However from my experience the ability to stick on your target is usually better then the initial toughness this is especially true the earlier you have to pop balanced stance. One way to see if it fits your build is simply by taking note of how early into the fight you are first using dolyak signet.

Signet of Judgement doesn’t give stability, which is a much more useful boon than retaliation, especially to guardians who have an abundance of retaliation elsewhere
In terms of overall power level they’re quite even now. Even Stomp looks like a lot of fun. It could be pretty trollish to run all 3.

That + rampage and hammer would probably be one of the better attempts at warrior bunker lol
Dolyak Signet > Balanced Stance for Lupicus Solo. Enough said.

Guardian’s signet virtually adds 11.1% of your current armor value (worst case scenario 2,127) as toughness while Dolyak adds 180 toughness that’s it.
And personally speaking, the only trait I would pick (and I don’t) concerning signets/stances in PvP is stances duration ; you have way better things to grab in Tier 1-2 Discipline and Tier 1 Arms.
