So zerg wvw as 35khp, 3karmor max condi dmg necros. Your heal power doesn’t change what the guy blasting the water field is healing for.
Soo.. welcome to condition meta in wvw. Pack ur stuff with pure dire or die hard as power build. Who had that wonderful diea to make something tanky even more tanky?
Unlike power builds all that condi spammer needs is condi dmg, duration inst that importal as they are spamable anyway.

Yep, these things will turn necros into Gods. The health will be insane in plague form and it synergizes with DS. Don’t really need healing power on a necro. Not sure if the devs think things out at all. But what do I care?

any thoughts about this build? Gear is not shown obviously because it’s not being added yet. Anyway after I read the changes I thought about this build instantly, but I’m not experienced in PvP so would like to hear what you think about it.

Some utility skills are missing and a trait. Also, Spiked Armor is not a good idea, because you lack in Power for retaliation.I would not use that kind of build, but I think it would work just fine.
Well the ultility skills I missed on purpose because I think they are “pick whatever you like” skills and the missing trait is also on purpose since it has nothing bad or rather nothing good…
Anyway I think with the new stats I should have around 35k HP with 3.5k armor and with undead runes I would have around 1650 condition damage. Also would you suggest a shield in off hand or a 2nd sword?
To be honest all I want is a good excuse build for dual bolts on my warrior and I think with the new dire stat combo and this build dual bolt would work
One more question. How is the trait Last Stand working? If I get knocked down will the trait activate and immedietly put me back up or it will just make me ignore all incomming crown controls but still laying down?

It should negate CC effect (because Balanced Stance is also a stun breaker) and give you stability after, but there was a bug (didn’t work everytime). I think they fixed it, but I’m not 100% sure.
Sometimes if I use my Dolyak Signet right after I’m being knocked back or down (still in air) then the stun breaker doesn’t work and I lay on the ground even with stability up. I’m sure that’s a bug probably because using it to fast and I’m sure that this is the reason what bugs the Last Stand trait.

Those are blowouts, if you pop a stun break before you land you don’t break the stun.

This is the S/S – M/S build I run when I’m roaming about WvW. Perplexity runes do take it over the top, but the build worked well before they came along and yes I run Shrapnel Mine with it… It works perfectly. :P
Build does have its downside… high condition clearing guardians etc.
Traits/runes/weaps/Armor etc below.
Few clips.
The only condition I don’t have with this build is Burning.
But as with nearly every Warrior build, there is different ways to Trait etc to get what you want from a build. This is what I like and works for me.

The problem with the perplexity runes is that they just don’t make a build stronger they almost entirely define what the build is capable of. They are ridiculously OP.

100% agree, and they should never have been added to the game. It must have been some drug induced party at gw2 headquarters when they “ok’d” them.
But like I said, the build did great before them.
But there are many ways to run warrior. There is no cookie cutter ( in wvw imo no matter what some people on the forums think. ) maybe tpvp/spvp is different.

I’m using right now the superior sigil of earth on main hand sword and if we change into the new incoming dire stat combo the sigil would be bad and probably replaced by something else. Also the crit will drop a lot probably on 9%-10%. What do you think, are these 2 things (missing earth sigil and “Precise Strikes” trait with low crit chance) going to harm the DPS a lot?
I ask because the condition damage stat is not the only stat to provide condition damage (I think that’s why rampager is the way it is: primary precision secondary power and condition damage)
Precise strikes is 1 stack of bleed for 3 sec at 33% on crit (no icd).
With dire (vs rabid) you are trading 28% crit for 6930 hp. Not bad I guess.

To be quite honest, if you run the new dire set up you could easily boost your damage by replacing your “Sigil of Earth” with a “Sigil of Doom” then on the offhand use a “Sigil of Agony” (for sword/sword). On Mace use the condition damage stacking sigil and on shield use poison.
With “Fast Hands” you can proc the doom sigil every 5 seconds (which is its cool down).
The above linked build is almost identical to the one I use in sPvP, and posted on the forums, except for the shield, runes, and two offhand sigils.
Edit: Fixed offhand sigil for sword.

I believe Dire isn’t very good for S/S War unless combo’d with Mace/Hammer+Unsuspecting.
IMO, a condi/power/toughness stat combination would be better in this case, but we haven’t seen that yet. Carrion comes close with vitality instead of toughness.
Still, I think the dire stats could still turn out fairly well for a tankish-build that uses condis.

That’s the stat combo I’m looking for actually – Toughness primary, Power/Condi secondary. Similar to Knight’s gear, except Condi instead of Prec.
One thing I just realized though…there is no Traveler’s armor in the game. Only weapons and jewelry. Kinda lame, as all my jewelry is the ascended Dire/Rabid combo already. Guess I could grab a couple new weapons, and keep all my Settler’s armor then…
Edit: I take that back, there is Traveler’s armor. But apparently it is not tradable, as there is none on the TP. This is before the patch. How do you get this stuff then? Soulbound world drops?
