Hi all,

This might be a strange question but I’m just wondering the easiest way to switch between different armour and skill/trait builds depending on the activity I want to do.

I’m only level 17 at the moment but soon I hope to have a toughness armour set for PVE/Dungeons and a strength/precision one for PVP. Similarly, I’m sure I will be using a different set of talents and utility skills.

Is the only way to swap between these manually changing each one (equipping each piece of armour and each utility skill) and then resetting traits? Does it cost anything to reset trait points?

Just to clarify, I previously played Rift and you could load an entire different set of armour and weapons with /loadequip 1 and also switch between the trait equivalents (skill trees) in a matter of seconds.

What you do with you’re character in PvE has no bering on what you do in PvP in GW2. When you PvP in GW2 you are instant level 80 in a set of free PvP gear. To PvP in GW2 just open you’re hero tab and go to the bottom tab (PvP) click on the long gray button marked: “heart of the mists” you will then be transported to a lobby area with a bunch of other people. There you will find all sorts of PvP gear/trinket vendors where you can customize you’re gear set all for free.

Unless you’re doing WvW, in which case you’ll have to pay to have your Traits reset, and manually swap out all of your gear.

Imo, we need a build 1 and 2 and 3 buttons that we can unlock, and setup our traits/gear/skills in and such.
