normaly however if you want tanky with decent critical damage you should combine zerker with valkiry.
For tanking try and have at least 0 0 15 30 0 to gain both adrenaline regen and healing from banners/shout (depend on wich you prefer but i rather use banner as it use only one skill slot and i generaly put the critical damage banner) Tankyest main hand weapon in the game is off course the mace because of the extra block but if you want to run something with heavy toughness/condition damage (because you feel your crit are to low wich will obviously be the case) you should rather go for sword and spam that bleed. the last 25 point are up to you but id rather put them in a condition damage build (arms) if im to use the sword to back up my armor with some damage. If you wanna run condition damage use dire armor because It just happen the arms sword spec increase the bleed duration like holy crazy (especialy from flurry)
Likely best damage/survivability combo would be sword/shield Dire armor monk rune buts its entirely dependant on bleed effect

Best gear? Sentinels. Have no $$$? Soldiers. With soldier runes.
Best spec? 10/0/30/30/0. Power converted to vitality, auto stability, longer stances, auto endure pain, auto shake it off, reduced shout cd, shouts heal.
Useful for: Beeing an anchor to your group.
There are no “threat generating skills” in the game, there is no taunt, aggro mechanics are shady to non exsistant.
Unfortunately there is no place in end game pve for a tank. You will be an anchor, ofcourse, an anchor weighing your team down and drowning them.
Tanks are only really useful in PvP and WvW. In PvE you really need to be doing damage, you can “tank” most of PvE in full damage gear any way.
I play a full tank in PvP (where I have almost no chance of killing anyone). It’s rather enjoyable being able to hold my own against several people to defend a node. The only problem is condition removal. Due to having to stay within the circle to hold it, I’m unable to reach my opponent to cleanse conditions through Cleansing Ire. Bar that, it’s great fun
After some further research it seems that a full on Tank build isn’t viable for end-game PvE. A Damage/survivability build seems like it is where I need to go.
warriors are a face roll to play anyway, don’t see why you can’t just go zerkers? tanking in pve is useless and not really possible (yes a few exceptions) but still.
If i invite a warrior I expect top notch DPS
Tbh im unconcerned about how much dps my teamate do… i see a guy sucking at staying alive trought or failing to help i kick it especialy if he charge in like hes chuck noris and dont want to acknowledge his poor gaming when someone mention it to him or stop what hes doing (to hell with all those leroy fans)
