Brothers in Arms, I have returned!

Its been about a month and a half since I came back to GW2 from 5 months of ArcheAge.

A few days ago (2.20.2015), I got the opportunity to test my build Balanced 2.0 against the famous Nhymx aka Tap Dat Mouse and his Legendary 3.0 build!

The combat itself is unedited, i removed the filler time between duels. This will provide you with both TDM’s PoV and My PoV.

Once again, shout out to TDM for the epic duels! GG! keep on giving that D!

none taken! Ive been playing since closed beta, so i know what im doing lol, i’ve played all the builds out there. this build is not for everyone, someone people don’t like challenges. some people prefer easy mode lol. its all in how you want to play. this one is the most fun for me!

Build’s that are “not for everyone” are frenzy builds. I’m talking about chain CC frenzy.

I don’t think healing signet stance builds are “unforgiving” either specially when you have a GS.

he’s a hard player to fight, but full cele with a greatword was a bad idea imo. sword/x would be far superior as it does hybrid damage and uses all your stats.

i watched the first two fights, and your problem seems to be you are spending too much time trying to stack might, and nearly no time preassuring the enemy. not to mention you blow your stances very early to no distinct benifit.

i have been following Blacktruth’s lead myself and have been enjoying frenzy based builds. the axe is brutal with quickness.

You are absolutely correct! That is exactly the reason I lost in the 1st two rounds was because I was focusing more on might stacking than on actually trying to kill him, as evidence of my switch in the 3rd round to way more pressure lol. I was also listening to his twitch during the first two rounds and muted it in the 3rd, so j was less distracted during the 3rd fight.

I agree sword would capitalize a little more on the condi dmg, i just enjoy playing with gs

You should try keybind and running viable builds… hard to watch really bad mechanical skill

run different gear then. celestial is not worth it for the condis on bow only.

if you really want to stick with celestial and gs.

here’s some tips

use runes of strength or runes of hoalbrak.

use intelligence on greatsword, try to land 3 or 5 or f1, also get sigil of air or leeching instead of blood
use geomancy instead of earth..

you would probably want deep cut instead and get attack of oppotunity instead of destruction of the empowered

Celestial on greatsword is terrible

Thanks for your feedback! I’ll be sure to tell the folks i’ve killed how them being dead after i kill them with my greatsword that my build does not work!
