Do you ever wish that you’d gone “Guardian” instead of Warrior? And why?

I have both! I only wish I had more character slots (;

And I love both, but I would have to say that I do enjoy my guardian a tad bit more, but I like the look and feel of my warrior, so that’s actually which one I’m leveling first!

(My main is an ele, and I love that too >.> I don’t care what people say, they’re awesome)

I was level 80 for 10 minutes on my guardian then rolled a warrior lol. Level 41 atm.

After years of playing the tank/dps/healer type pve I just couldnt get used to guardian support. It just felt like I was doing a bit of each and I just have to see big numbers! Be it heals or dps!

Liking warrior simplicity so far so looking forward to running some dungeons as dps with some toughness/vit and buffs for my team

Naw. Guardians are a superb class with a lot of effective build options, but I love hammer CC builds, greatsword facerolling builds, sword condition builds, and shout-healing way too much to quit.

The warrior is rough, rugged, in your face, on your face, through your face. None of that sparkly stuff for me ty.

Made a Guardian before I made a warrior…stuck with the warrior

I recently made a Guardian and started using hammer on it, and I have to say that it just feels more fun than Warrior’s hammer. Guardian may not have the same amount of CC, but it flows better, especially without any roots on its skills, and there’s a bit of synergy between it all.

Sometimes. I was doing Temple of Lyssa events last night with 3 Guardians, and they were completelykittenface. I didn’t feel like I was keeping up. Plus the blue flame just looks awesome.

I think about this pretty often. I always say that I would’ve made a good Guardian because I love to play the ‘protector’ role (I mainly just do PvE and WvW). In the end, however, I realize I couldn’t live without my Longbow and Sword/Axe sets. The Guardian doesn’t really have anything like that combo. Also, Fast Hands (when it works) is something I just can’t live without. I swap weapons A LOT.

Guess what boys. It’s kitten easy to level to 80. If you’re curious roll one. You have nothing to lose.

I’m old school I used to love to play a Paladin in D&D and rolled one in EQ. I loved the idea of the archetype but the older I’ve gotten the more I’ve realized the warrior is where it’s at. Way more variety in the style, personality and grittiness of the class. You can make a pretty tanky warrior even if not to the extent of a Guardian but I’m not sure you can make a guardian that can come close to a full DPS warrior. A warrior can swap to a bow or rifle also.

Hint: You can trait a warrior to have really good defense and really high dps. Shhhh don’t tell everyone.
