Im long term warrior player and i’ve decided i will post in here.

since game launched i’ve played warrior and i managed to top 1.3 k hrs and big chunk of that time was in W3. Two days ago i’ve decided to roll mesmer and I managed to get her to 26 lvl. After reaching lvl 26 i went to W3 just to see what will happen. 16 traits and gear form lvl 20 did not give me to much hopes for well ending.

Here when comedy starts because i’ve noticed i make a lot dps for lvl 26 so i started roaming W3 and i stumble upon wild lvl 80 guardian we had small talk and we established that i will continue roaming and he will use WP, then moments later i stumble upon lvl 80 elementalist and he mainly wanted to know how am i planing to breath for next couple of seconds and i told him to take WP and walk away. After this i continue playing in W3 but didn’t have anymore 1 on 1 actions.

I know for sure if i was back there with lvl 26 warrior i would be torn in pieces on spot. I talked about this with many people and the usual answer was “nice”, “GJ” “Winning” etc. and then i thought to my self that’s not how people should respond to this at least in my opinion. Did we already accepted imbalance as common reality ? Warriors how you feel about no love from A net comparing with to much love for mesmer?

Because Warrior’s power scales esponentially with gear and traits, Mesmer is more reliant on his weapon skills instead.

Not what I heard.

Mesmer’s phantasms, clones and shatters are quite lackluster without specific traits to improve them. In PvE, I know this is the case as leveling mesmer is a bit of a drag as your clones vanish quickly under fire and have no additional effect, phantasm damage is mediocre, and they all recharge a bit longer without 20% or more reduction in cooldown.

Basically, a mesmer is much stronger with traits.

That’s really not true! I did take on level 80 enemies on my level 15 warrior, and it ended just fine for me most of the time as you can see here

Was this before the Jan 28th update?

Not sure if it affected WvW but it affected dynamic level scaling to make scaled up players stronger.

Yeah Leo G, it is! I uploaded it the 30/01-2013 No need for that to beat a level 80 ha!
