Because that covers the only cc that balanced stance doesnt. And I’ve found block to be more than usefully enough without the reflect. Sticking to targets is this goal and this does it best.

Just tried the build in PvP and i liked it alot. Haven’t played with a shield for ages and was fun having to use it again. Didn’t win the match but did som insane damage. Will try this out for some more matches.

Only thing that’s anywhere near “non-mediocre” for me is GS/mace+shield with arc divider spam for good cleave dmg and skull grinder spam on single target for the daze blinds and cripple…Gunflame works too until your opponent realizes the animation and the cast time.

I i wanted to play a condi tank i would play gard and for a tank i would play rev….. devs just give warriors some cool stuff for gsword,bow and hammer…. thats why we play the class.

I run similiar..but id rather use sword+torch and mace+shield. Torch 5 and sword 2 is how you enter combat with fire aura for mights

The concept if fine, but I personally run this instead.

It has better sustain, you can eaten alive by condis if you don’t have Berserker Stance. Sadly, Healing Signet is just better than “To the Limit!” It’s too slow this build is also not even traited for shouts. You can go offhand Sword instead of Torch for the extra block.

I’ve tried it with Sinister, Rampager’s, and Celestial as well, all have their pros and cons.

The biggest overall weakness is any build with a lot of stability, which isn’t that uncommon now. Against a Warrior with Last Stand AND Balanced Stance AND Berserker Stance you’re gonna have a hard time. The confusion and bleed application can get CRAZY high though.

Still, you don’t have Fast hands, Warrior’s Sprint, or Burst Mastery. It’s kinda similar to the old Mace/Sword or Axe/Sword builds. I’m not really a huge fan of double 1h sets though. It’s a “balanced” build, but its has so many weaknesses it’s hard to call it good. You’ll either crush your opponent or will be crushed if they have a lot of removal/stability.

I was trying to run a variant of this as well, but the Krait runes push this over the top. Fantastic build man.

Interesting choice of weapons, been dying (lol get it?) to put my GS to rest and try something else entirely.

I was working on a variant that’s quite similar to this, but more adapted to my taste of playing warrior. Might share it today when i get from work if i feel like it’s finalized. The core of it is quite similar to this tho…

Been playing around a few games with this build now, really liking it! Weapon swap is a bit slow but this build has potential, I’ve had scenarios where I’ve completely blown out 1-2 people, but also scenarios where I’m completely shut down and violated. So far it looks good though!

I even managed to get a “wtf..?” out of a Daredevil

edit: is it better than rampage or shoutbow? Probably not, but it’s hella fun to play something different.
