Fast Hands bug has been........??
I’m skeptical, given that the last time one of the devs commented on the Fast Hands bug he was utterly wrong is describing how it actually worked.
I wouldn’t be surprised at all if only part of it was fixed.
It really is Chri… Wintersday.

It was that exact comment describing the dev’s experience with the bug that made me chase down how it works because it was so different from mine. Turned out there was reasonable explanation resulting from what I assume is a difference in gameplay style as a warrior. The exact bug mechanics I found were by no means new, they had been tracked down before, but my new thread managed to actually explain things in a more helpful way and I got a private message mentioning it had aided to reproduce the bug better in internal testing.
Still patching but I’m really hopeful that it could actually be fixed for good. Or if the fix itself is buggy then they’ll know how to fix that soonish hehe. This has been the single bigger personal enjoyment-draining issue that I run into while playing, basically. ~giddy~

Anyone in yet to test? Taking me forever to dl this patch.
Now we just need them to implement it by default into the Warrior class and we’re golden
Do you even lift, bro?
Please disregard my post. I’m a half-wit. I forgot I changed my build and didn’t have Fast Hands anymore lol. Sorry if I confused anyone. Carry on, nothing to see here.

Yea its fixed, and its sooooooooooo nice now. No more worrying about not swapping between fights.
I’ve been running tournaments and so far, ZERO occurrences of the dreaded 10-second weapon swap cooldown!
If I could smother ArenaNet with kisses and hugs and leg humps, I would!
It’s almost insane how much of a relief it is to not worry about setting yourself up with a 10 second weapon swap cooldown when your playstyle revolves around 5 second frequent swaps.

Crackshot has also been fixed, but its not shown in the patch notes.

I completely agree with you, mate. My condition damage longbow/sword&sword build has benefitted greatly from this change.
Cheers, ANet, for finally fixing that pesky bug!
Now that its fixed, i think its a requirement in every build haha. Once you go fast hands, you can’t go back.

Well I can concieve of builds that don’t have it. I’ve occasionally played them and it can be good. Fast Hands is just so smooth and addictive though. And Mobile Strikes is great with many weapons so why not just have both!
They fixed it and broke it at the same time.
Picking up or dropping an environmental weapon now counts as a weapon swap so you go into CD.
This was probably done so Engineer kits get the on swap effect from sigils.

I will happily take bundles causing a 5s cooldown for now if it means fast hands works for normal weapons.
A nice Warrior patch.

Haha, true that.I can’t even play another class properly because of that trait :p
I would like to personally take the time to thank the devs involved for fixing this. It was the most irritating/infuriating thing I’ve ever dealt with in an mmo. The amount of relief I feel is as if a great weight has been lifted. My warrior feels smooth, fluid, and efficient as opposed to clunky and broken. Although I hate you for initially creating this torturous bug in the first place and then taking your sweet time to fix it; all I feel is love right now for finally finally relieving me the agony I was force to endure. I also thank you for adjusting the long bow, now please take a good hard look at our down state abilities and everything will be good.
please.

It really should be baked into the profession by default.
