Greetings,

I apologize, but I will be posting this build in script as I was unable to figure out how to save and repost a build off of a different website. As well, I will post some of my own comments/questions throughout for specific speculation. Cheers!

Guild Wars really made this game appealing down every avenue. I love to PvE, PvP, WvWvW and craft. This is my attempt to make an all around ‘Spec’ that has the utility to solo/group and be dynamic in ‘every’ way

Weapons:
Primary Weapon(s): Greatsword
Secondary Weapon(s): Axe/Warhorn(Primary) -or- Axe/Shield(Secondary)

Skills:
Healing Skill: Healing Signet –or- Mending

  • I am on the fence about this ability.
  • Healing Signet: Because I have “Restorative Strength” in my trait line under the power tree, any time I heal I remove Cripples/Freezes/Immobilizes/Weakness. However, it does not remove any other condition and it is on a 40 second cooldown. As well, it also heals for more.
  • Mending: This ability is on a 20 second cooldown and it removes two random conditions. If I keep this plus restorative strength, I can heal more often and remove slows. However, I could also toss Restorative Strength in exchange for say Great Fortitude and receive the bonus to my health.
    *Opinions?

Utility Skill # 1: Bull Charge

Utility Skill # 2: Endure Pain

Utility Skill # 3: Balanced Stance –or- “Fear Me!”

  • I am on the fence about these ability choices.
  • Balanced Stance: as a lot of merit for survivability to chase someone or retreat from an onslaught.
  • Fear me: Has the potential to screw up a lot of peoples rotations for a few seconds and clear an area to either retreat or re-engage a tricky target.
  • Opinions?

Elite Skill: Battle Standard –or- Signet of Fury

  • I am pretty set on Battle Standard. All in all it provides a buff, more specifically a good buff to everyone around me, as well; and it can rez, which is nice in any setting.
  • Signet is a self-buff, therefore not as group friendly.
  • Like I said, I am pretty set on Battle Standard. But I am open to criticism.

When dealing with these abilities, I know I can switch them for optimization in any situation any time out of combat. I am just laying these ones out as my primaries.

Trait Points:

Strength (Power): 20 Pts.

  • Adept Ability: II: Restorative Strength
  • Using a heal removes Cripple, Freeze, Immobilize and Weakness affects.
  • Master Ability: Slashing Power
  • Greatsword and Spear damage is increased by 10%

Arms (Precision): 25 Pts.

  • Adept Ability: III: Deep Cuts
  • Bleeds you apply last 50% Longer
  • Master Ability: X: Forceful Greatsword
  • Gain might on critical hit with a Greatsword or Spear. Greatsword and Spear abilities recharge 20% faster.

(I am on the fence between 10 pts in Defense or Tactics)

Defense (Toughness): 10 Pts.

  • Adept Ability: II: Turtle Defense
  • Gain 200 Toughness when crippled, chilled, stunned or immobilized.

OR:

Tactics (Vitality): 10 Pts.

  • Adept Ability: I: Leg Specialist
  • Apply a 1 second immobilized when you cripple a target with a skill.

Discipline (Prowess): 15Pts

  • Adept Ability: III: Warrior’s Sprint
  • Run faster while wielding melee weapons.

I will only comment on my reasoning for putting 10pts in either Defense or Tactics because I feel it is the only thing that needs justification without previously having someone else critique it.

In PvP or PvE warriors need to tap into their survivability that naturally comes with being a melee heavy armor class. I feel that some of the higher level abilities don’t benefit as much as a little survivability increase. Again, feel free to give me opinions on this, I may just be out to lunch.

If you have any feedback, please quote a specific section and critique it specifically. As well, feel free to send me a private message instead of replying via post here. Thank you for your assistance!

Anyone?
Just looking for input. Specifically regarding my point distribution and not maxing out Power. I just don’t feel the last two abilities in Power are that amazing. But I am not sure if the bonus 100 Power I am missing out on by not going that far is worth not taking…
