You have 75% crit chance, that means that 25% of the time you won’t crit. It just so happens that when you use Final Thrust, you happen to roll that 25%. Remember, you have a chance to crit, not a guarantee to crit.

But it might just be a psychological factor: Final Thrust is supposed to be some sort of “ultimate attack”. It has a long cooldown, a long cat time and it’s really strong only once the enemy is below 50%. You strive to bring him there, to land the hit before the enemycan heal…

and then sometimes it doesn’t crit. And the enemy is not finished, healing and laughing at you.

That’s why I don’t use a sword. Too depressive. Such a waste makes my character lose the will to live.XD

Sounds like bad luck, I’ve had that skill crit plenty. Including 8.8k as my highest.

I run sword in WvW, and I try to line up my shield bash with unsuspecting foe and the thrust. If the enemy doesnt stun break / have reduced stun duration Im quaranteed to hit it with crit and I keep seeing 6-9k crits with it.

In my opinion its a great skill. Kind of a eviscrate in a AE Cone.

i would rather just normal attack and do better damage.

Still wish final thrust had a faster animation though… I can’t count on crit to make the duration viable, atleast in my eyes

Pretty awesome when it does crit and it’s for 5-7k.

Sword burst and Final Thrust are both way too slow for my taste. But yeah, Unsuspecting Foe is a great compliment to Final Thrust.

I wish when I use final thrust, the whole server would stop and super duper animation (like FF VII summons) would start and last for 15 mins. Maybe the whole world could split from the sheer power of the thrust, or a beam of superior sword power would fling to the skies and split moon to half.

After that, a small number would pop up showing everyone that I did 200 dmg or better yet BLOCK.

NOW that would be awesome. Ofcourse the whole 15 min video should also contain super overreacted japanese narration.

But yes, I agree it should have somekind of sound. Nothing too fancy, but alteast something.
