Yup. It would make more sense if they putted immobilize on flaming flurry like regular flurry.

Anything higher than a one second immob would be over the top. A short cripple would work as well.
From the vid it looks like you’d have to stay <500 range away from target to hit with the full burst.
It is because Flaming Flurry does not appear to be a skill for stationary targets. It has a spread similar to LB Fan of Fire, only narrower.
We should take the example videos with a grain of salt. I have a feeling that much like Fan of Fire it’s supposed to be used at close range and the person making the video was more interested in showing the animation than how you would use the skill in an actual fight.
We’re the projectiles able to be projectile finishers? That could be really cool. Double burn.

Using it a melee certainly looks better. Still, sometimes I’m really annoyed to be kited like a chicken, because most of my attacks are telegraphed and I’m always visible to the enemy, without any position break (stealth/teleport). A ranged attack somehow alleviates the pressure put by kiters.
Also, Flaming Flurry being ranged brings the question of Cleansing Ire and Berserker’s Power. If only one hit of the Flurry needs to reach the target to trigger those traits, then using the Flurry from afar can still be interesting.
It’s not bad considering it doesn’t root you. And you can move while channeling it. It’s certainly a different play-style. Than classic immobile then burst. This playstyle you don’t need the immob as much bcuz its ranged.

Now there’s a interesting combo…
- Get full Adren
- Use normal Flurry
- Headbutt just before the Immob runs out
- Go Berserk
- Use new Flaming Flurry

Considering the fact that it destroys projectiles, I could definitely imagine a good defensive use for this against ranged opponents while closing in on them, and it only helps that it has a cone for that usage as well.
Damage wise, yes, it would be best to fire it point blank.
I’m perfectly happy with the skill reserved that it may need a damage buff, as the devs are scared of the damage on the berserker skills.

I think it’ll work well if you immobilize or stun a target in melee. I mean if you don’t they’ll just dodge it anyway.

This. FF is basically a beefed up copy of ZD anyways so it’s gonna have the same weakness as well. Berserker can use Guardian sword skills better than a Guardian now. xD
