Hey everyone, coming back after a long break and I’m levelling up my warrior and enjoying it quite a bit but I can’t decide on either Great Sword, Duel Axe or Duel Sword for levelling and for dungeons, thoughts or if there’s something major I’ve missed?

For simple pve content you can run full zerk gs/axe mace for optimum dps. But re s lly its all your choice for how you play, what you like to see your character doing.

Very much this ^. Ever since I dusted off my warrior ive been running duel maces. Theres something extremely satisfying of the feeling of PUNISHMENT that weapon set has.

Although if your asking for opinions. Duel axe is extremely fun to play for me in the past

For general running around I use Axe/shield and Longbow. The block and stun of shield are nice for soloing Champs and being able to swap for longbow if I screw up and need to kite or just feel like playing ranged is nice

I’ve levelled my warrior with a S/S Condition build and it’s funny. I like the condition damage. But Gs/Axe+X deal more damage.
You can try and see what’s more funny for you.
Don’t think about how faster you can level up with a weapon, think about what weapon make you happy to play your warrior!

GS : Best dps weapons of the warrior
Axe/Mace : Sacrifice a bit of dps for additional vulnerability
Axe/Sword : Give you a block, which is perfect for harder solo run
Sword/Warhorn : Have a leap and swiftness, really good set for running in open world.
Axe/Warhorn : A good middle ground. Swiftness for running, but Axe for fighting while you level up.

When you use GS + Axe/X, using the 3 trait in the 5th trait line will be a big advantage to have only kitten weapon swap cooldown.
