Of Course this is not a “GEEZZZZ I’ve Never Saw this Build Befoooore! You’re a GENIUS!”
But as an “ex-Hambow”, i gotta admit that i found this pretty fun.

About the Utilities, i know i could use Dolyak and Might or Endure Pain, instead of Balance Stance and Stomp, but i find these two more usefull because of the quick cd, and Stomp besides breaking stun, work as cc since i dont got hammer anymore.

Remembering that i use this build for WvW and Spvp.

I still find Melandru+lemongrass soup to be the absolute best WvW build using greatsword since you don’t have to worry about control conditions, and cleansing ire is enough to clear what conditions you do have to worry about. Running that with longbow is just amazing.

Quick thing: Sigil of fire gives a pretty good spike.

Well, longbow can be swapped for something else, however it should still remain a good weapon for setting up some random 100b and for some ranged pressure against mesmer. (NEVER EVER EVER go exclusively melee against a mesmer, IMHO)

Axe is quite good allready but noone is playing it since the majority goes the easy route.: copy pasting builds.

Ive been playing axe/mace + longbow for quite a while now. More frontload dmg but a bit less aoe control than hambow. And if your f1 gets dodged for whatever reason you whont lose your adrenaline due to some random pet or w/e that got hit by the aoe.

My quess is that this will be the new cookie cutter build/setup.

Except, everyone used to use axe. It only changed because axe got nerfed quite a bit, with most of the damage being on the back end. It is too easy to dodge.
