Guild Wars 2

Hey everyone, about 3 or 4 months ago I quit World of Warcraft because I hated the direction the PvP was going on that game. I had heard quite a lot about this game and how good it’s PvP was.
So after spending a lot of time playing my class (Which in every MMO I play will always be Warrior) and getting used to the way it works with each weapon I decided to head into sPvP with my brother tonight.
The first few games were pretty good, but the other team was pretty much kitten
But after that, it was pretty much whoever had the most Guardians and Mesmers win.

This really turned me off from PvP. REALLY.
No one on my team through out all 5 of the games I played could hardly do anything without being stunned or stopped in some way or another.

So far, (Don’t take this the wrong way) I’m seeing Blizzard doing better than Arena.Net with PvP.

Is there really anything else to look forward to in the PvP area or did I just experiece it all?

One question, did you play it on Hotjoin or tourney? Those two will give you a huge difference experience, though you will need a premade team for tourney and a certain build(roamers/bunkers) for it. As for hotjoin, it is mostly the place for players to kill each other while experiencing how weak their build is and how OP their opponent build is.

So yeah, you can’t do everything here, though some class are able to do so, but still there is a way to counter it. It is all about your build.

To answer your question, you have not experience it all, but it will be best if you know all the classes/build first.

I did a hot join match I think.
I only hit 80 through WvWvW and such on my warrior a few days ago.
Decided to try out sPvP (since that’s the style I like more with PvP)
I don’t really know a whole lot about any other class other than elementalist. That’s the second class I’ve played the most…
That and everyone just tells me doing sPvP as a warrior is always a terrible experience.

Seems like everything I do on my warrior as defense goes a Guardian can do better. A thief can burst better (100b is stationary), elementalists and… really every other class has better mobility than us it seems.

So maybe it is just the class for a bit of why I didn’t do as well… But maybe not. I don’t really care either way, I can’t quit the warrior class. They’re pretty much my PvP baby.

yeea.. after rolling wowpvp for years i either couldnt find my place in this spvp. Mostly i dislice downed system in there, most of the time if y want to win 1vs2or3 you need to have stability just finish that crap off otherwise ressing team member is way too easy, its lame.
Gladly im enjoying pve.

Yep, GW2 warriors can get pretty frustrating. We’ll see how things go in the future. If you played WOW on release remember how bad Pallys were and their gimmick seal system? The developers eventually made wholesale changes to the mechanics of Pallys and let’s hope Warriors here get some sort of attention. For one the warrior playtester for Anet is definitely a pve guy……
