Gap closers no longer works as intended?
I noticed this recently as well. had a thief almost dead and all cooldowns blown so i go into finish it but i couldnt catch him because he had swiftness. i used whirlwind and rush and still gained no ground on him.
Yeah. Post mobility patch, I’ve found it quite a bit more difficult to keep up with classes that have access to on demand blinks / teleports. We lost a bit of stickiness, and it’s a bit frustrating.
I’ve also noticed that Rush is missing a LOT more than usual. And by missing, I mean forcing my character to run a complete different direction than the targeted person, causing me to lose more distance than anything.
Someone argued with me about this for half an hr. They said gap closer were still effected by swiftness which they do not seem to be
Darkwood Legion [DARK]
Yak’s Bend
Used to be, but not since patch. It’s even in the release notes.
Run skills seem to he much slower beyond this, whereas leap skills seem the same as pre-patch (except for not being affected by movement condis and boons now).

Are you guys only noticing this with the GS skills? It seems like Whirlwind doesn’t go the full distance and Rush is just really slow.
Savage Leap and Bull’s Charge seem fine to me.
I wonder how things would be if Warriors had a trait (or even base ability) of +1% movement speed per strike of Adrenaline ..
That would mean +30% movement at max, ie still less than most kiting classes (who get easy access to +33% Swiftness).
Would really give an “adrenaline rush” feel to the adrenaline mechanism, and be tempered by the rapid dropoff of adrenaline out of combat.
Some of the popular adrenaline boosts (lookin at you, CI), could be shaved slightly.
The way greatsword works, the movement skills don’t work well with no swiftness. I find the sword to be leaps and bounds faster now. Greatsword, is definitely not great at speeding up travel anymore, but it has okay escapes in combat. I had to pop bulls rush and gs 5 rush, to get slightly (~100yards) ahead of a ranger who used swoop. First, I used rush, and noticed the ranger way ahead of me with swoop, so I bulls changed and passed him for the couple seconds before his swoop came off cooldown.
Greatsword needs a mobility buff.
The problem discussed here could potentially be part of the problem if you run with Heightened Focus
