Hey all,

I have pretty much no warrior experience but I kinda want to try out a condi berserker build (with viper amulet) so can you guys give me some expanses of builds you would probably use for this role?

I really wish people would try searching. I know the answer and could help you but I,m peeved that the answer to your question is on 2-3 of the threads at the top of the board right now. Just even trying searching google you would have your answer.

I was gonna say something about builds etc but then I read this and decided I just wanted to say:

This has nothing to do with any response you’ll get from other people and everything to do with you. If you don’t want to play warrior, don’t. If you do, do. That’s your decision, it’s your responsibility XD

The class is already dead in PvP, kind of. If you were to play warrior, it’d be just for the fun and thus, you can try any build you want.

For Viper, why do you need to ask people their build? Go equipe the viper amulet and go test by yourself to see what fits you the best.

Imo, Viper wouldn’t be (the warrior won’t be) anything serious because of the Viper revenant. The warrior have no tools to compete with revenant. You can play it for the fun, and I’d suggest for it dual sword or sword/shield (torch for dmg, or even mace for KD) as main weapon set, and something like mace/shield (or hammer?) as second weapon set. Try it, you can get 30% AS with Arms and Berserker GM traits, it could be interesting to boost the dmg, but you won’t have Defense.

The reason I was asking, was because I don’t play warrior, so I thought it’d be ebtter to ask theorycrafters who knew more about the class than me for their insight.

if fast hand was baseline & mending was a physical skill it would be a good build. it’s super hard to play, but the combos you can do are insane if you lock someone down.

rampage is an option. so are sword sword instead of rifle. so is sinister amulet. so is carrion.

balth & sigil of smouldering buff your gunflame a lot. like a lot.

That’s an interesting question. The Viper amulet is great, but fragile, and one of the current issue of the warrior is its lack of defense / sustain, when compared to other classes. The Berserker trait line does not help much in that regard, so finding something good with Berserker and Viper might be difficult.

If you want to be competitive, then you absolutely need Discipline and Defense, so your template is pretty set up with Berserker. Then, running Viper, you’d need weapons which can deal physical and condition damage, thus sword (mobility, hybrid damage), mace (hard control, block, interesting Berserker F1), or longbow (hybrid damage, soft control). You could try to make the build robust by implementing synergies with Rousing Resilience and Berserker.

I’ve seen Tarcis play with the Viper amulet using Hambow, using a Strength / Defense / Discipline template, with the runes of the Sunless. It was pretty interesting, particulary the interaction of the elite and Distracting Strikes. I don’t remember whether he was satisfied with Viper though, or preferred Wanderer or Celestial. I’ve tried a melee variation of that, exchanging the longbow for sword/shield, and had a bit of fun with it. Body Blow really shines with the hammer and the shield, and the weakness is very useful. Rousing Resilience triggers with Balanced Stance, without a need to break stance, so I like it as well.

Viper war is non viable in PVP. No point.

This build is not good enough.

Im glad you guys made it to a certain level and im glad others say its easy to get sapphire but im sorry if i come off as negative.

The first 2 weeks of PvP if i ran with a premade i faced other elite level premades. When i solo qued i faced guild premades and reg team premades. This build lacks the sustain and the ability to constantly apply condi dmg.

In 1 vs 1 on corners you should lose to every class being thieves remove condi on dodge. The constant pressure from a d/d condi build would overwhelm you and the staff build is about setting up dps which you have no counter for. Revs apply more condi and quicker and apply more dps by simply switching to a different champion.

Druids with boon shares with pets could literally eat your condi since 3 will go to the pet and with staff they get constant healing and 500+ with healing on glyph use and bleeding is the weakest form of condi dot which is also the easiest for you to apply.

I could go on but simply put this is very similar to alot of the builds alot people tried out before the PvP league started and this stuff never works against people who immediately see what you are know what to do. All the new classes got range and warrior got a torch. Simply strafing when you attack will make you miss alot of your attacks if there able to strafe and head backwards.

So congratulate you on finding a build that works for you but this would not help me at all. Especially in team fights when warriors are targeted first. I truly dont know how in a solo que how you are surviving with minimal amounts of condi removal,lack of range, lack of speed, and no big burst dmg. Any person fighting you would literally have to let you kill them.

Any thief should be able to shadow step away and heal and come back. Any druid could fully heal in cele form. Any rev should be able to switch and get over 4 sec of resistance just from that heal and utility skill on one champion. Any ele from the old fresh air,staff,d/d, to the new shout build isnt worried about this at all. Scrappers would out sustain this easy and maintain a full stack of 25 might/fury/protection and stability. Druids and necros are the 2 best 1 vs 1 classes base line in the game.

Sigils are debatable, I like generosity and geomancy.
Has decent defenses but can get absolutely destroyed by condis. I do manage to kill necros with zerker stance though.

Only sustain against condi is to use head butt to get 5 conditions converted in boons. Swap Shattering Blow for Dolyak Signet, change To the Limit for Healing Signet and pick Signet Mastery in Arms for more “survivability”.

I like to play the one on the link, use to the limit as soon as you enter combat, Berserk and get as many bleed/burn/vulnerability stacks with sword F1. Finish with Impale and autoattack, swap to LB and fallback if they’re not dead, gain adrenaline and repeat.

Note: Not viable in sapphire rank and above. You’ll get farmed.
