tl;dr All in one adrenaline heavy build spamming Eviscerate, with killing power, sustain, and endurance regain.
Tired of using a boring greatsword, being a signet glass cannon?
Greatswords feel clunky when you have to stand still to channel 100 blades, your 5 rush is buggy as hell, bladetrail hardly ever hits twice, so meh. And everyone knows signet warriors are terrible in dungeons.
Tired of using crappy support shouts and swords with no damage?
Hey…i’m a freaking warrior. I actually like to pump out big numbers, and to kill quickly. Traiting for all the shouts reduces your damage severely, as well as using a sword which does terrible damage and has no AoE. Pretty bad.
Well this is my personal axe build that I have used for leveling, doing dungeons, and world vs world. It’s a great all-around build. You will be pumping out a lot of damage while also having survivability.

You should wear full Power, Precision, and Toughness armor (Knight’s) with toughness and vitality gem slot fillers. I personally use Superior Rune of the Dolyak.
I will now explain successful dungeon usage. You can pop your rage signet, as well as FGJ for some nice buffs before the fight. You can either initiate after using Endure Pain as soon as you pull the aggro as well as using Frenzy, or you can save them for different situations. (Don’t save them too long, it’s best to be using your skills rather than waiting half the battle when they could have already been off cooldown.) Frenzy when your not focused to greatly increase your DPS or Endure Pain for defensive reasons. Go in the middle of the mob and use whirlwind axe to build up your adrenaline very quickly. Use Eviscerate as much as possible for it’s raw damage, it should be used as soon as it’s off cooldown. ( You will always have full adrenaline by the time it’s ready.) Don’t forget about the AoE vulnerability from Cyclone Axe as well. If your taking a little too much damage you can retreat and nail some mobs with your rifle. While your adrenaline is building up with it, you will start to gain health regeneration thanks to the 15 Defense trait. If you manage to get stunlocked, you can use Endure Pain. Turtle’s Defense will help you out as well when it’s on cooldown, so you can maneuver yourself better. Don’t be fooled, a tank in this game does not exist. If you have a few mobs on you consistently then you should be dodge rolling and maneuvering yourself. Your burst skills (Eviscerate) restore endurance, so you have more room to play with.
In WvW if your in a zerg, you have strong pokes with the rifle and burst power for when the fights are initiated. In one on one fights, your capable of killing anyone (including the annoying mesmers, whirling axe takes care of that). Remember, your using arguably the strongest warrior weapon. Greatswords might seem the best, but what happens when you miss your 100b/bulls charge? Eviscerate is the strongest adrenaline skill dealing atleast 70% damage of a full 100b, and the Axe auto attack is unmatched as well. It provides steady hard hitting attacks to take your opponent down, rather than relying on a gimmicky one trick pony weapon. To gap close, you have two cripples and additional endurance regain to dodge roll into them. (Not to mention you also have faster weapon swap, as well as adrenaline gain on swap.)
For general leveling you have more than enough damage to melt things quickly as well as enough defense. You can use your rage signet for the swiftness to travel. If you REALLY need perma-swiftness you can swap out Frenzy for a banner to carry for the 3 skill, but I usually am at (or almost at) my next destination before the rage signet swiftness wears off. So, up to you
VARIATION: You could swap out Frenzy for Shake it Off if you really wanted to be a little safer with the stuns in WvW. However, I really feel as though Endure Pain more than makes up for it. The thing here is, you can use it with Frenzy to safely destroy your enemies in WvW, but you can also use Endure Pain to cover your kitten if your being hard cc’ed.
Give it a try, hope it helps some.
