Good bye warrior?
Aww, don’t leave yet.
We still have plenty of more nerfs yet to come to shake things up… we’ll still be top tier too, cause lolbanners lolhealingsignet.

In all seriousnessness though I know how you feel and I’m really bitter about them making the class so much worse too. I’ve primarily switched over to ele because it just doesn’t really seem like there’s anything positive coming for warriors again. They don’t really want it to be a good class to play with I guess. ’Tis unfortunate that I put all the time and effort into mine, really.
At first I was Mesmer, then I switched to Warrior, I really like to play him, but after some time I get bored and limited. I want to switch again, but something keep me with my warrior. 99% of Warrior use same heal spell, most of warrior use same build in PvP, 99% of Warrior use same elite skill and have similar utility skill. Thats crazy! Did you guys see Engineer Hammer? This looks epic! Warrior skills are boring, if you look at them 400 hours you get really bored. In my opinion this class need small re-vamp, and ANet should add some colour to Warrior skills. If they don’t do that, sorry but new class will ‘’take Warrior place’’.

I have enough healing power that healing surge is nearly as effective as healing signet.
first of all i warrior offers a few more options other than simply crush kill smack no brain no pain feel.
Such as:
- 25 might stack sharing phalanx strength warrior
-permanent large aoe regen banners (+stat increases, swiftness, fury)
-Shout healer +warhorn = massive amounts of on demand condi removal from everyone around you as well as enough heal to be compared to some classes main healing skill
-stunner,interupter, confusion stacking, bleed stacking condi warrior.
-massive juggernaut bunker tank with the highest possible health, armor, condi clenses as well as healing and health regen (ofc, for the price of 0 dmg…but its possible to gain some pretty good dmg at the price of not going full extreme with the armor and health part)
Ofc, not all of those “builds” are perfectly 100% meta viable in all parts of the game…but thats the thing about this game. Each class offers a different set of skills and tools that can and SHOULD be used in different aspects of the game.
Aspects of the game being : exploration pve, dungeons, Spvp,Tpvp, WvW, some living stories, and others more to come in the new expansion
Speaking of expansion who can say that the new warrior specialization wont be even more hulk smash and bash your face in kinda class?
My Warrior has the most weapon/armor sets AND world completion…and I can’t be bothered to play it any more. The idea was that while it is mechanically simple, the tells are so obvious that you much become good at counting dodges and using just enough of your abilities to bait out countermeasures without depleting all your attacks.
Now, while that is still somewhat true specs that rely on such things aren’t that amazing or simply have no place outside of dueling or roaming. Good luck competing without crutches like Endure Pain or LB (I used to like it before we were tied to the hip to it). Anything that is semi difficult to play isn’t that good. The more fun abilities hardly work. This class used to have The highest number of viable builds, and while there’s still more than most, the differenced between them are generally a couple trait points and a weapon.
I’m hoping for maybe a semi-viable Rifle build post patch at least.

Not yet. Not giving up on this class. In fact I feel more optimistic now that one of the previous Devs stepped down. So long as they don’t do stupid things to Warrior much like the old Frenzy nerf then this class will have a place.
At least when talking about PvP and the next upcoming patches. PvE Heart of Thorns, hopefully the A.I. is good in design and is not like Vindictus where it favors only certain classes due to hit-box issues and class balance.

I say just play multiple professions! I got a warrior, guardian, ranger, and necromancer all at 80, and they are all fun to play.
I think GW 2 is the type of game you don’t want to focus too much on 1 profession, at least IMO.

This +1.
Playing one profession for too long just seems to get you into a rut. I started with a Mesmer, switched to a Necro, and now I’m playing a warrior (and enjoying it immensely).
Additionally, there’s a heavy cost involved with shaking up your build (in time or gold), so switching feels less viable the more you invest in your toon. Which also contributes to feeling bored. Unfortunately, I tried to change up my Mesmer build, but it really backfired (along with using up quite a bit of resources), and now I don’t want to play him at all.

Playing mainly 1 character since release I can honestly say that I honestly spend most of my time sitting in town. I just dont like they playstyle of a lot of classes.

I always played a lot of classes, thief engi, ele mainly in decent tPvP level more ranger lately (cuz fun) then some times necro and mesmer if i feel like it.
but i always dedicated to warrior the most and remain my favorite class
Such drama queens! Take a deep breath. Everything will be okay. Warriors will still be fun to play. They will still be wanted in groups. Just don’t be bad and everything will work out.

Nobody that I know cares about warriors other than for phalanx strength.
I have literally Ebola DPS in max setups with precise infusions and not having any fun.
When will it work out?

It doesn’t seem like you know very many cool people. Not sure what you mean by “literally Ebola DPS” because that makes no sense. Aside from that, try not to let maxing dps get in the way of playing the game. Unless that’s the only reason you play the game, in which case I suggest you play another class. Either way, Warrior will be just fine.
Your personal definition of cool can be as different as special as you want it to be but I play with people that know the ins and outs of their classes and have completed the content on this game hundreds, no, thousands of times and have no interest in hitting like a wet noodle.
Not a single person on my friends list out of several hundred people would agree with the idea of warrior having over 30% of its DPS taken away. There’s a huge huge difference between toning something down and absolutely breaking it. Fact of the matter is that exactly 1 year ago from now I had significantly better DPS naked than I do now with an optimal setup (minus 6 precision infusions). That’s bull kitten, and that’s what I mean by Ebola DPS. Ebola DPS as in, so bad that I’m about to start bleeding from my eyes at the horrific numbers appearing in my combat log.
Maximizing DPS is a huge part of my enjoyment on the game and it’s what I among many many others enjoy doing. Repeating the same content for over 2 years doesn’t exactly remain fun you know. You need to find some way to make it fun, so challenging yourself with solos and min-maxing can really be motivating to people like me who don’t necessarily want to play casually all the time.
For the record I’ve already switched to another class for a while now, but I put tons of hours into warrior and it’s still my specialty. I play elementalist, which is now also getting nerfed like hell. At least nerfing elementalist is actually justified considering they’re one of the best classes all-around. Nerfing warriors further into the slump they’ve been in for months is just flat-out stupid. It shows how out of touch the people responsible for balance changes really are.
DPS is not everything.
Warriors still hit like a truck.
DPS is everything.
In PvE.
DPS is everything.

Not even.
Dodge is more important and warriors get a signet of stamina and other endurance refills.

Your comment is so controversy…
DPS is not everything, yet you still throwing argument like warrior still hit like a truck
first of all, warrior hit like wet noodle
second of all, that’s only PvE side of things.
while in PvP it’s completely a different thing, as you said, DPS is not everything. warrior lacks in other things.

DPS is not everything. This is true.
Regardless of that warriors still hit really hard.
To you wet noodle and truck must be the same thing. If it is not, then provide actual evidence to your claims.
What “other things” are you referring too? That can mean anything. I can’t deny that claim because “some other things” warriors most certainly lack something.
