Good changes? Yes, here's why:
I’m really enjoying the changes, I play GS/Hammer in WvW and I love the 25% movement speed perk and the rework of the Disc line. Cleansing earthshaker every 7 seconds? Yes please.
If it were anybody but you Defektive posting this there would be torches and pitchforks at your doorstep because as of late this Warrior community has been quite on edge. While it is to be expected I don’t think the changes are as bad as people think
I actually don’t mind the changes on the sword, they should probably increase the cripple on the last hit to 3 seconds because 1 second is nothing. Cripple on savage leap is a nice touch. Final thrust can be landed alot easier if you have leg specialist and land either 1 of the two cripples.
Cleansing Ire I still have mixed feelings about but if you spec high into discipline I can imagine it to be pretty good. It still conflicts with equally useful traits in merciless hammer and last stand.
I like the new zerker’s stance though, endure pain on 60 second CD is cool too. Defy Pain is OK … I don’t think its worth a 30 defense investment though. DOTE and the new burst mastery are definitely nice touches and you can definitely build around that.
I am however disappointed that they did not lower the CD on our heals. As a Warrior though many people will disagree with me but I feel that we really needed that and it would have really helped us greatly. I feel like having Heavy Armor and 18K base HP is like a curse because we are kitten in so many other ways because of it. Our heals are subpar no matter what way you look at it. Mending cannot be compared to other heals like Troll Unguent, Ether Renewal, Consume Conditions, Ether Feast, Withdraw, etc.

I think that’s worth pointing out again. It’s not class-specific, but its buffing has impacted our class asymmetrically hard. Like really hard.

This was almost identical to the first build I tried today, but incoming conditions were heavier than I’ve ever seen before, despite cleansing them regularly so in the end I did worse than if I just went for more damage/control traits. I think necros are having a fun time, at least.
1. Cleansing Ire is alright, as long as you can land the burst at some range (Hammer/LB/Axe). Condition classes won’t usually sit patiently in your meele range.
2. For 15s CD damage is not so impressive. With 30/0/0/10/30 I tested (Berserker Power, full adrenaline, being <50% for Desperate Power, enemy <50%) highest crit I got was 8,9k. I still find this skill quite clunky. It’s easy to see, so often gets evaded unless enemy is stunned/immobilized (guess Shield Bash helps you there).
3. I’m not really sold on new Berserker Stance. Pretty much any Condi class has extra condition duration. 4s is really short time and no good Necro/Engi will burn their CDs when they see you pop it.
4. Yeah, Desperate Power is alright.
5. It’s good I guess, though I still prefer Mobile Strikes over DotE.
6. What works on them, also works on you, I’ve seen Necros having quite good uptime on Weakness. Not to mention Engis with Elixir Gun. And it hurts us much more than it hurts Condi builds.
I like Balanced Stance also giving Swiftness now.

I like to do a lot of combo / juggling builds (hammer preferrably). I can usually combo someone into Final Thrust without much resistance. Those sweet sweet 7k+ crits are very satisfying.

I suppose it has better synergy with your playstyle. I’m more into ‘dancer’ playstyle – being all over the place, jumping around opponents, going in and out of meele range, so I usually have GS.

Try longbow’s fire field. It’s nice and big so it likes to hit someone and if all else fails it loves to always activate cleansing ire (since it checks for hits target/ground and not target). I run with it and I haven’t had a problem today at all with blind…except once, but that was me being stupid and standing in the blind field.

I am seing your streaming and you pretty much suffer the rage of thieves, i mean they are pretty OP, and you saw that while you were playing, and still warrior really has no sustain, it dosent matter how they switch the weapon abilities and traits if they are still punching bags.
You caught me when I was mosing around with a gimpy sword/mace mace/shield build seeing if I could sacrafice sustain in favor of mace F1 being better.
Didn’t work out well.
I’m having my best success with 0/0/30/10/30 Hammer sword shield.
Will also be testing 10/0/30/0/30 s/s Hammer today when I’m off work.

Hey Defektive why do you use Balanced Stance instead of Dolyak Signet? It now breaks stuns but has an 8 second longer CD. Is the Swiftness and lower CD on Balanced better?

I’m constantly using the stun break in almost every fight so the additional toughness from dolyak isn’t really a deal breaker just yet. I’ll admit I’ve been toying around with both and will be trying it more tonight.
Some things I’d note that you may or may not have considered:
Stomp is a friggen awesome skill now. I’ve been slotting it in tPvP. Great for getting thieves and other warriors off you without expending your precious stability. Also can be used to interrupt a res even if the resser has stability. I’ll generally slot this unless against an extremely condi heavy team.
Hoelbrak over Melandru runes, sacrifice toughness for higher damage output. The might isn’t forceful greatsword levels, but it does add a lot. All this with only a 5% increase in condi duration.

I jumped on 0/0/30/10/30 as soon as I saw the changes as well, slightly different solutions.
Jangeol – WvW Warrior
1) Cleansing Ire: If you get used to using your F1 skills on cooldown, you’ll notice that Conditions aren’t that huge of a problem anymore. They are still irritating, but not the be all end all.
2) Final Thrust has opened up some impressive burst to otherwise tanky builds.
3) Berserker Stance is absolutely hillarious against Necros.
4) Desperate Power is very viable now.
5) DOTE + Burst Mastery = Great damage even when built tanky.
6) Weakness, sweet sweet weakness. It’s so strong now if you can constantly apply it.
I really recommend people play with Weakness + Cleansing Ire more, you’ll find you have much higher survivability than you probably can anticipate!

Blindness is jsut dumb strong now. They buff warrior, but buff everything else in exchange lol. It looks like a funny build to play. I play that same weapon setup myself. I’m just wondering how imobilize feels when you don’t have mobile strikes. DoTE is amazing if you’re auto attacking a lot with sword or hammer, but if you like to ES a lot, Burst master is more powerful. I don’t think you need both though, as it might be over kill.
Props for supporting something out of the box though. Keep building like this.
I think one of the best buffs was the mace #5 buff, it’s amazing now. Berserker’s stance is really good too. People just need to make new builds instead of slightly tweaking their old ones.

Swiftness in combat is faster than25% movement speed. We have signet mastery and swiftness on crit giving you more up time.
Balanced stance also gives swiftness now.
Boon duration in PVE is not nerfed and so it affects your swiftness.
Signet mastery is in the same minor trait line as the 25% movement speed also it gives you more access to fury, might and other signets.
I still don’t see how 25% movement speed is good unless you sacrifice your signet of rage, balanced stance, no signet mastery and no swiftness on crit.
I haven’t seen many in the stupid zergling body corrupt boons as this isn’t spvp.
