Guild Wars 2

So im looking for a proper gs+ axe/shield build for my warrior
mostly doing pve but some wvw also.
would love a sugguestion about armor stats and runes as well!

Axe/Mace + Axe/Shield works fine in PvE.

30/25/0/10/5 (assuming you don’t want EA), full zerk, scholar (ruby orbs if tight on money) sigil of force/night/dungeon + sigil of battle and all that good stuff

no point using shield in PVE, it doesn’t proc dual wielding and sword offhand has more blocks.

above advice is sound. if you want to use a greatsword shift 10 from tactics into discipline for fast hands to minimise time spent using GS autoattacks.

Shield is a bad weapon, doesn’t give the 5% damage from dual wielding, and the block is worse than on a Sword (double recharge time).

But if you must 30/25/0/0/15.

Just the same as the meta swapping Mace out for Shield, and I just substituted Short Temper in as Dual Wielding would be useless.

The only choice for Rune is Scholar, ignore any advice to say get Ruby Orbs if you’re tight on money, because they are just so much worse and not even worth considering since Scholar runes are super cheap now.

Use a Bloodlust stacking set, not Perception.

Trying to hybrid a build for WvW too will only slash your effectiveness in both. I’m no WvWer so can’t give you a build, but I can say retreating/regearing is necessary – so get a second armor set and retreat everytime, it’s super cheap.
