Greatsword 4
Giving greatsword some hard cc would make it a lot better.
So yeah, this rocks
Axe 4 on off-hand could be a pull too. (Stop guys being selfish and talk only about GS’s gameplay, I find GS so boring)
Dual Strike : (off-hand axe being chained) Throws the axe, if it hits, pulls the target toward you and does a strike with the main weapon. (cuz dual strike and it actually does a double attack with both weapon).
Or : Throws the axe, while it’s stuck on the target it’s applies vulnerability(or any random condition, like cripple), if pressed again within the 3s, it pulls the target toward you.
I still can’t believe they gave the Guardian an OP short CD pull -.-
Greatsword doesn’t need any more love.
But, the throw on 4 does need some work. Faster projectile, at least.
Hard CC is a Hammer thing.
Physical skills ought to ditch the dashing and work on pulls instead. Or, y’know, fix the dash glitches. Maybe add a pull to Bolas. Not to say we don’t need better closers, but Greatsword isn’t where it’s needed.

I just feel GS lacks any CC by itself to land any of it’s burst, you always have to set up hundred blades using a utility slot or another weapon, which leaves us with less options, i understand GS is a strong weapon overall and adding 1 CC, a pull at that isn’t going to take hammer’s place as a hard cc weapon.
I also really like the idea of the bola’s having a pull, like guardians Spear of Justice, pulling on the chain to drag the target towards you, very interesting.

Virtually every weapon could use some tuning at this point. GS is the mobility weapon that trades that mobility for damage. Literally every ability on GS could be improved and the weapon still wouldn’t be OP outside of PvE (which is functionally easy to solve.)
AA 3rd hit needs to apply cripple. Absolutely no way around that. The only cripple application on GS is from GS4, which can be completely dodged either during the 5s window before the projectile hits you by simple walking in a different direction, or evading, or any of the other billion passive evades/blocks/misses/etc. that the game has. On top of that, it’s a 4s cripple on a 15s cooldown. Warriors won’t even GET to their target in that 4s unless Rush is on cooldown and the kittening planets align and it doesn’t send you off into Africa somewhere, or you trade your biggest damage on GS (as well as the most reliable evade) in Whirlwind to reconnect.
GS2 is excellent at attacking players that other classes downed for you, since it’s virtually impossible to hit with more than a couple of hits without quickness procced, but otherwise it’s just a self-root before you cancel it early because your enemy is now 40 yards away and chaining ranged 5k crits into you.
I think most warrior skills need rebalancing if we want warrior to have a future in any kind of PvP setting.
A pull on GS4’s return trip would be an improvement, but I don’t think it would be all that useful. The projectile is far too slow and too likely to be destroyed for it to really make much of a difference. Seriously, when I use GS4, I don’t expect it to hit the enemy beyond the initial throw (assuming that even hits).
In my opinion, a better upgrade to GS4 would be to remove the boomerang effect entirely and keep the horrible projectile speed, but move the cripple to the final hit of GS1 and replace it with a knockdown. That would let us use the skill to chase down runners as originally intended, but as an added bonus, we would also be able to use it to setup GS2.
Heck, while I’m at it, GS5 should have a leap, and GS2 should have evade frames for at least the first half of the channel (EDIT: Before anyone cries OP, that’s only 1.75s of rooted evade. Compare that to other channeled skills that also give evade). Doing all of that would make GS a completely self-sufficient weapon with enough utility to get a skilled warrior through just about anything. Then we could work on bringing the other weapons up to the same standard.
But that’s probably not gonna happen.

I think I’d rather it cripple on the opening throw as it currently does, and lay a shot 0.5s knockdown on its way back.
I mean….physics! How hard and fast would someone have to throw a giant sword (like a boomerang) in order for it to fly back towards them and drag another player back with it….that just doesn’t remotely compute even in gw2 terms where I can throw an axe and it instantly returns to my hand..

Your GS4 proposal makes me laugh, with joy. It’d be absolutely hilarious and in theme to throw a greatsword at someone and the force of it bowling them to the floor. I might even use greatsword for that. XD
I chafe at any buffs to GS2, but you’re right. When I look at all the massive damage mitigation other classes get and think about how worthless “armor and slightly bigger HP pool” are as defenses, I wouldn’t object to 1-2 seconds of Block (I mean, we’re swinging around a wall of metal, here), though it might mean dropping Hundred Blade’s damage a smidgen.
GS5 and most other charges that Warrior gets ought to be leaps, to be honest. I’m not sure it would help the accuracy of them, and warriors often use charges as escapes just as frequently so.. Maybe not so much on that idea.
