I’ve been running the Yojack build and it is great for dungeons and PvE, but I was hoping to make a Greatsword build just to spice things up a bit. Looking for something that can be useful in dungeons and PvEing.

Half the reason is looking for an excuse to get another armour set with the vigil armour going.

Thanks in advance.

I run a 10/30/0/30/0 build with rifle/GS for general pve:
10 = bezerkers power
30 = 50% longerbleeds, crack shot, GS trait
30 = leg specialist (1sec immo handy for control), faster shouts and healing shouts

gear p/v/t with soldier runes for aoe condition removal, dps trinkets
Longer bleeds handy for passive 10% bonus vs bleeding targets

I generally get up close, at half health i whirl out, throw sword (immob) and switch to rifle, put out as much dps as possible while healing up, right back in.

I run 20/20/0/30/0.

Similar to the above build but instead of crack shot, i got the slashing power (gs trait) in str tree, and instead of leg specialist, i take empowered. I gear up similarly, with solider gear/runes and zerkers rings/ammy/earing. Its somewhat versatile, a bit “middle of the road” (60/40 offensive/defensive split imo) which is useful for dungeons because sometimes you might be the only heavy/melee in the group in which case going glass cannon can be difficult. This will let you have decent survival if you have to tank while letting you put out solid dps if you don’t need to. Healing shouts with condition removal is always useful imo.

Call me when this game gets fixed…. if it ever does….

Empowered will give u about 1,5% increase on dps per boon, but I like the leg specialist for control though. The 1 sec per cripple doesnt look like alot, but with both weapons u have a ranged cripple and 1 sec is enough to give yourself or a party member time to get out of melee range of trash or a boss.

Crackshot is debatable, but i find myself using ranged alot in the higher level fotm and then the increased dps and the piercing shots give me a good boost to avg dps.

I run 20, 25, 0, 0, 15 for GS DPS and fast hands. Then those last 10 points to something which feels nice.

I run full berserker gear with ruby orbs,
20/30/0/0/20 using gs and rifle:
20 – zerker’s power and slashing power
30 – rending strikes, forceful gs, furious
20 – heigtened focus and sig mastery

I get adrenaline really easily with crits, switch to rifle to pop my kill shot and volley, switch back to gs and easily regain full adrenaline, rinse and repeat. This is also good in dungeons. When I’m taking too much hits with melee, just switch to rifle and still deal decent damage.

also, between 48s-cd sig of rage and FGJ, I can practically keep fury up for that +20% crit.

^This is pretty much what I use. I’ve tried a few different specs, shouts, power, defensive. I eventually realized that tree is more about compensating for other players than carrying my own weight. The heals are great from a warrior perspective, but not that astounding compared to what other classes can feed you with baseline abilities or “must have” trait lines, instead of you spending 30 points in an otherwise lackluster tree.

A few months back the group I ran with was a guardian 2 wars and a necro friend of mine, we would pug the 5th usually. He used to say how he felt kind of useless compared to the damage the 2 warriors were doing but we always told him he was indispensable with all the group support he did. When he rolled a guardian and had to deal with bad necros he told me “I see what you were talking about now!”. If people don’t want to play as a group and help you out, kite with your gun.
