Just curious on what your guys’s opinion is on which is more effective for pve. also at the moment im doing GS with 30/0/0/10/30. What would be a good trait line up to try out hammer, or would keeping it the same work? Thanks for any advice!

Since you’re new, I suggest checking previous threads.

Hammer isn’t useful except on trash mobs so it depends on what dungeons you are running frequently.

GS is just used for the 100b in pve, mostly.

Check the Gw2 Guru War pve forums as the nerds there did a lot of research into pve.

GS = PvE
Hammer = WvW and tPvP

Hammer is not an effective PvE weapon due to everything having defiant. If you want to give it a go in wubwub or pvp, then an effective build for hammer is 0/10/30/0/30.

Gs and Axe+mace + on my mark = amazing pve setup
