Hello I am now level 70 with my warrior and would prefer to level the rest of the way PvPing.

It seems to me the two most popular builds right now in PvP are Hammer/Longbow and Mace Shield/Greatsword. The question I have is what are the strengths and weaknesses of these two builds?

Is one of them “better” at WvW than the other? Is one of them “better” at SPvP than the other? I understand comparison can be difficult if the builds are just fundamentally different, so that’s why I would like to hear the strengths and weaknesses of each build.

Firstly, the differences between SPvP and WvW are wildly contrasted.

Warrior is my main and personally, I would use neither.. some have their own ways they play and own builds they use but some patterns seem to stay pretty constant.. a pretty solid setup is PVT with Hammer/Sword-horn.. it also depends on if you run with a large group or if you roam by yourself or in small units. Ask around and find the playstyle you like ;P Test everything possible.
