Hi there, I am currently in the process of leveling a warrior for almost solely WvW. I love the Axe/ Shield aesthetics on a warrior and so i took my main characters legendary efforts and made a frost fang just for my warrior. I also own several expensive shields and want to put them to good use. …..SO my request of the community is that you guys/gals could so graciously help me make a WvW build focusing around the axe and shield as the primary weapon set. these are the only requirements I need to be fulfilled. Thank you for your time and help. Any input will be strongly appreciated

Ur right, but even then when fury is up chances for evi to crit are at 87%.

Ive actually used that build in solo/small group roaming as well in zerks. So far i been doing pretty well and cant complain about any lack of sustain+reduced cd on shield helps a lot.

Im currently messing around with my axe/shield/Hammer build and having great fun. Ill get back to you.

I too am interested in an axe/shield build… think it might be fun! however i cant stand not having run speed in WvW… maybe something that integrates that?

Full pvt armour with melandru runes and a mix of zerker/knights gear. Your focus is on precision and critical damage. Power is your primary.

Take healing signet, berserkers stance, bulls charge, balanced stance. Elite can be banner. I run with signet usually but I, enjoying juggernaut.

This will more likely be for roaming/small groups as I already have a elementalist deticated to zergs

alright well thank you for all your input. (everyone) I appreciate it. Was worried that axe/shield would not be a viable WvW set up due to its back heavy auto attack chain.

here is my axe/shield build deals great dmg and survives well. also sword/warhorn it is mainly for mobility so i can stay on top of my target when they decide to try and kite me because it cleanses chill,cripple,and immob then leap to them. also Final thrust is nice when they are below half health which they probably will be when they try kiting you. also with the warhorn you get to apply some weakness which will help survivability against power builds.

also awesome tip of the day when fighting thieves if they shadow refuge evis into the shdow refuge you have a really high chance of hitting them with it since it has a very broad swipe which usually results in them going down.
