I use Hammer/GS in both PvE and at times PvP using a build like this:

It prioritizes survival over dmg but is no slouch in terms of bringing a burst of pain.
In PvE You provide support and good CC but the GS allows you to have a decent amount of dmg against camps that are mostly immune to CC.

Gain adren with hammer, then use Earthshaker and switch to GS and 100b to gain the benefit of Unsuspecting Foe. If before this you used backbreaker+fierce blow you not only did good dmg but when you use 100b the target could be weakened and thus Cull The Weak will have you doing 5% more dmg to them.

You won’t be insta-gibbing but I feel the utility and support are a fair trade and even though 100b may not connect with the full combo I feel that having a weapon that can deal dmg against a target with stability is useful as well.

You can sub Fear Me for On My Mark to have the 100b deal more dmg but I enjoy Fear Me because if you cripple the target first it’s a great setup for Backbreaker →Fierce→Earthshaker→100b. It can also force them to pop whatever stun breaker they may have.

It’s basically me stealing the idea of the glasscannon GS/Ham build only taking it in a more survival focused direction. I’m sure it’s been done before but I do suggest it for those who like GS but are tired of being targeted down so fast.

I dig it man. I will give this a try myself. I wanted a warrior build that could incorporate Hammer/GS and you set that up perfectly for me. The only thing you lose out on is crit dmg but that stat is useless without 40%+ crit chance.

Well with Unsuspecting foe you have around 84% crit chance for some 2.5 seconds because of Earthshaker stunning and FGJ giving fury. But yes, crit dmg isn’t as high but you can do around 10k maybe more. Not massive but better than what you have as hay hammer+ Axe/mace with the addition of GS mobility.
