Hammers
there’s only about 5 models that are actually big, one being a legendary which most people won’t ever touch. weird.
I always hated the stupidly oversized models in (ahem) certain other MMOs. Even some of the models in GW2 are dumb, in my opinion.
“Hey, don’t mind me. I’m just slinging around several hundred pounds of steel. No big deal.”
I actually really love the size of hammers in this game. If anything, I think some of the Greatsword models are a bit oversized.
“He’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup.”
lot of hammers are the size of one handed swords.
I agree, hammers need more love. Compared to the greatswords, which often have intricate design and cool effects, the hammers just look wimpy. Some of them even look like a staff.
Got a really nice one from the personal story that was like a giant morningstar, more of those would be nice, never been a fan of the sledgehammer type warhammers.

Agreed.
I prefer more realism to the weapons and armor in games. Not necessarily stark realism, but at least some believability.

The 2-handed variety (also known as a bec de corbin) pretty much looked identical but with a longer handle
What we have in game looks more akin to a maul – https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ8YTsBJY2G0xOnFyWxclMDV4JJazn9HoEOWuZgUYysMkSf4a-_
And mauls really weren’t that visually impressive, nor were they really much of a combat weapon. They were a tool, usually used for such things as driving fence posts and whatnot.
Yaks Bend
This is a fantasy game. If people are running around with massive flaming greatswords and throwing fireballs around and shooting unlimited ammo why cant us Hammer warriors feel cool too? The bottom line is hammers are just much too small.
Krytan warhammers look amazing, by the way. I’ve re-skinned all of my hammers to look like that one (until I find a neater looking one).

This is why I bought the Pirate Sledge as soon as I could. Most hammers are already rather weak looking, and being an Asura doesn’t help that fact. The Pirate Sledge seems to have been sized decently, and slinging around an anchor looks cool!
Well, since we are all crying about warhammers, can we get hammer’s head down not up, because it seems like its defying gravity when we carrying it on our backs.
To the point of the way the hammer faces.. I would also think that it would be more beneficial to the user to have the head pointing down when pulling it from the back or “equipping” it. It would probably be more natural, and quicker in battle.

only looks decent on Asura…size does not scale.

size scales… i’ve seen greatswords equipped by Charr that are as big as my asura, and when my asura has a GS equipped, it looks like a charr’s 1H sword.
i’m talking about that one hammer, it’s the same size on my charr and asura.
Checking out the weapon gallery a lot of hammers do seem a bit on the dainty side, so it’d be nice if there were a few more really big ones in the game.
I do love having my Warrior tote around a gigantic hammer. Yes, it unrealistic that my skinny little guy could lift such a sizable hunk of metal, let alone swing it around, but the fact that he is a plant that has leaves for hair and glows in the dark is also unrealistic!
