Guild Wars 2

So I’ve been trying to decide on a build for my warrior once I hit 80, scouting all about the forums looking for one, and as you can tell by the title I haven’t found one. I’ve been leaning heavily towards knight’s armor, but I just want something that works for dungeons, WvW, and hopefully fractals later on once I actually become decent at them <.> (as in higher level fractals)

Also something that puts out decent damage! I don’t like to imagine my character taking all the hits then countering with some wimpy kicks to the shin as I try to catch up to them in WvW, I wanna smash!

For the weapons, greatsword and axe or sword/shield is what I want to use at first. Most likely a hammer later on for the smashy smashy.

But I just can’t make up my mind on the traits, trinkets, sigils, utilites and runes!

So, ye almighty warriors of the forum, do you have any advice or builds for me to look at?

I’m on the same boat, and i feel like knights gear is a good choice for being so indecisive since warriors have a lot of hp to make up for the lack of vit. At first I was really goin towards the hammer, and I still like it, but playing around with the great sword now, I realize what people mean by the gs being really mobile, in fact I barely use hb. I guess u can do what I’m Doing and just put in some hours for each weapon set untill you get a combo that feels fun and work your build and gear around that

I’m having the same trouble. I got my warr to 80 about 1 week and a half ago and I was sure that i wanted to run a full Zerker, Glass Cannon build. But after getting 3 pieces from badges and another one from TP, as well as a GS from TP too, I’m realizing that It’s a “fun build” but It isnt worth it if you want to have fun in WvWvW and dungeons, because you will spend a lot of time downed.. I’ve been watching some Streams and I found a build with Knights armor and Zerker Jewelry (GS & Hammer ) It seems really fun and you can tank a ridiculous amount of dmg dealing a good one yourself. Now idk what to do, finishing my zerker set or starting Kinght’s one ^^…

I feel that since knight’s is very very hard to farm through dungeons, to start with that and later farm berserker’s or whatever else I want. Hopefully this thread can help you guys too! ^^

I personally feel Soldier’s (Power/Vit/Toughness) is the best default stat set for armor, but unfortunately it can’t be crafted, and therefore is harder to get. Knight’s is also a very good ‘default’ set to get as your first exotic set, though. Especially if you bring a little bit of healing, regeneration, or condition removal.

If you do go with knight’s, I suggest using the pies that give you life back on critical, they have really good synergy with the knight’s gear. You can additionally re-gem your knight’s jewelry with exquisite ruby orbs for a decent dash of more dps- the critical damage bonus on them is really handy.

Axe/mace + rifle, knight’s gear, berserker style jewelry will do you well in PvE and WvW.

Warriors have a high initial health pool, Vitality isn’t nearly as useful as Toughness.

I too am in the same boat…full zerkers now farming for knights, hoping a build will find me. Lookin at Sonic Boon, dont wanna just do dos and not help my party anymore i guess. Someone should post an innovative, fun build that works here -_-

Found one! Since I just hit 80 today. Tested it in WvW and its fantastic.

I got knight’s armor with ruby orbs in them, berserker greatsword, knight’s sword/shield. For trinkets I bought knight’s and put zerker jewels in them.

Went with 20/20/0/0/30 and it put me at a solid 50% crit, 70 crit damage with over 3,200 attack power, and its still decently tanky.

Now the next hard choice will be dye combination XP
