shhh! Don’t say stuff like this. They’ll nerf it if they realize how insane it is right now.
Honestly I think its fine where it is right now. Because if healing signet healed for 30 secs which is the cd for healing surge it would heal for about 2k more. But if an enemy gets poison on you, then you can remove it before using healing surge, but with healing signet you are forced to loose healing until you can remove it.
Also it won’t do well against burst damage, but I think a lot of the complaining is coming from when the burst damage fails slightly because there is a less room for mistakes and then the warrior recovers.
And, healing surge has the added effect of filling up your adrenaline bar and with cleansing ire you get some condition removal immediately following your heal so I think comparatively these healing skills are equal and no one is complaining about healing surge so we are good

I really don’t think there is anything wrong with Healing signet, other then having absolutely no reason to activate it. You have spotted one of the things that makes WvW so boring, siege weapons suck. They really need to buff cannons and all siege in general to force players to use tactics instead of just zerging.

Did you know Blood Fiend out heals healing Signet?
Healing: 926 (Attacks every 2 seconds.)
= 463 every second!
That is 71 more then Healing Signet!

I have more survivability with a monk’s focus and meditation build on my guardian than with healing signet on my warrior. The warrior does more damage though, so the tradeoff seems fair.
Two burst classes that don’t suck can outdamage the healing signet easily (hell, even one really good DPSer can outdamage the healing signet). I can’t say the same for the guardian with MF/Meds. I’ve stalemated 2 heavy DPS with my guardian on more than one occasion where they just eventually give up and leave.

That is like 4500 damage every 3 secs assuming you are hitting a 50% damage reduction from armor (which is over 3700+ armor) you must be getting 1500+ health regen per sec? I must be using the wrong healing signet…

Dead muppet..can a healing signet warrior survive a zerg? If not then I do not see any problem here besides silly whining because you did not get a kill.

I think the signet is okay. It has a strong regeneration but it’s active heal is real crap. So it works well against sustained dps but it’s useless against burst. 3,5k heal with 1,5 sec cast on 20 sec cd seems almost a waste of time to use.
Also I can’t really see how you can hold out against 2 cannons with anything else than full tank. If that’s the case, enjoy it! I’d say the sweet spot is around 3k armor and with that you can’t stay on 2 cannons for very long.
Signet is not OP. It has it place where if used properly it shines.

No the signet is not OP because something is the best in the game doesn’t make something OP. The reason it heals so well in zerker builds because you are taking damage constantly unless you have your block, or endure pain up. There is no aegis, there is no stealth etc. Jon Peter’s said they where goiing to buff it so since it currently has no place in zerker builds.
I know you play a thief and are jelly of the signet but seriously before this a Thief could stay in the mix of the battle better than a warrior.
It’s not like you can’t get your own form of awesome sustain you just chose not to. You don’t have to spec your thief for it either and you don’t have to press 6.
Shadow protector + shadow rejuvenation with 300 healing power(needed to get shadow rejuvenation anyway) = 490 HPS while in stealth

P.S. there are plenty of builds direct damage that go 30 into shadow arts.

The thief is in stealth..what is he doing? He’s regening health…or running away…he can’t do anything else.
The warrior on the other hand is bloody owning everyone else , all the while regening an ungodly amounts of HP. besides it is passive so you can not deny him his heal. While the CND can miss/be easily dodged, and BP + HS costs almost all your initiative.

Except that Rogues are harder to hit in stealth, when his passive is healing, while the warrior remains wide open for attacks.
Except that Rogues have their actual heal ability on top of regeneration in stealth (one of which stealths them in addition to healing) while healing signet takes up the warrior’s heal slot.
Healing signet is very good against lower-end, sustained damage. It is also good if you can consistently keep opponents from damaging you through blocks/invulns/cc/dodges/etc. It is NOT, however, as good against burst damage, and is heavily crippled by poison.
Comparing healing signet to rogue’s heal-in-stealth isn’t an accurate comparison to argue balance by. Healing signet can also be countered, and while you can build a fairly bunkery build around it… most classes can do the same with their own tools.
It’s strong, but not OP. And surviving 2 cannons while also dodging/blocking/etc to avoid damage is a different story from standing still and just regenerating through the damage.
Healing Signet should be a utility slot, or a trait. IMO. That way we can compare it to traits:)

Using your heal would remove healing signet’s passive, activating the signet lowers your heal/second making you survive less in the case of being dot’ed…

I think the issue is that you’re the only one who has stuck around. There have been a couple more posts here and there that have yielded productive discussion, and many of us have offered tips on how to counter the signet. However, you continue to reappear, throwing opinions around as if they are facts and express zero interest in improving your gameplay. Do you honestly think coming here and posting totally unsupported opinion sways the devs’ outlook on the game and its balance? If you watched the stream yesterday with the devs, you’d know we have more buffs incoming in the future. Does that sound like something they would say if they agreed that they’ve created an unbeatable warrior of the caliber you’re describing? You’re wasting your time… and now I’m wasting mine.

I wasn’t the only one saying that, many people agreed with me. I wanted to bet money that the patch notes were fake, and noone called me on the bet , likely because they knew there was a good chance the notes were fake. In the end, there were 2 nerfs that didn’t make the patch notes due to what I and many other said. So considering everything, it worked out nicely. So in what way does that makes me a ‘yahoo’?

Wrong, it is not that you don’t even have to use it, but the active version is terrible. In order to survive, you have to depend fully on the passive.
3k heal vs. 400 hp/s.
Obviously, the 400hp/s is the clear choice. However, it is regeneration. A high dps attack/burst will destroy all thoughts of OP. At that moment, when you are crippled and helpless while missiles are chipping your hp down, you will wish you had Healing Surge.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant

I think the stealth mechanic is trash and could be improved. I could go into length on ideas on how I think it would be more engaging than a guessing game with AoEs without any positive feedback.
How much length can you go into on how you could change the Warrior to fix your perceived issue while still making Warrior engaging? Please, try.

You claimed this signet is most OP heal in game, okay, why dont you roll a necromancer and use the blood fiend on a half-healing build? It is on par if not better per/s health regen, as Dae has said. Secondly, if you burst a Warrior with it – their done. If you wish for Thieves to have stealth, their regen ability, AND be on par with open-field fighting of a Warrior then you should quit.

There are tons of people trying to change the thief initiative system or stealth system under the pretense of trying to improve their gameplay and they all just amount to a huge nerf….so I just cringe most of the time on reading any of these “so called suggestion topics” which are just a huge nerf slapped on it. It would be a different story if it would actually improve the gameplay but they don’t. There is a reason we chose a thief in the first place, we don’t want cooldown on the skills for example. And the whole revealed mechanic just seems like a huge workaround to me, it’s very inconvenient. I am actually interested in what you have in mind to change stealth though that is not just a big nerf disguised as a ‘fix to gameplay’
That said, I do think perma stealth is holding thief from being a versatile character. Too many things are tied to that mechanic.

There is a huge reason why I never complained about necros even when most thieves were doing so. (or mesmers)They actually have really bad survivability in a roaming situation. Their mobility is probably the worst in the game or something. Completely different story here.
I think that Cogburn is trying to nerf thief stealth on the pretense that it’s annoying because it’s a guessing game which is true. Warrior mobility makes them annoying to catch as well. One of the most annoying thing is chasing warriors around the map. Furthermore, dying to skull crack+hundred blades is annoying because you know it takes literally no skill to land that combo in certain situations and is a kitten to get out of it. Warrior is basically as annoying as thieves now. So does being annoying and no fun to fight against equate to a broken mechanic and need a nerf?
If I roll anything, it would definately be warrior though!

No im not lying, Mango Pie, Adrenal Health and Healing Signet will do what I posted.
Arrowcarts would have been a different story, but the cannons slow projectile maybe?

I feel you have no right to ask for people to post there warrior and /age here…..I saw your thread about “advanced warriors only”, and that is a bad idea because what if a newer warrior and someone newer to the game (I.e myself) wants to learn more about warriors and what going on with them with the already confusing updates. If you want to allow only advanced warriors to reduce spam them your being no help with what seems your bi-weekly “buff warrior in some way” post

Don’t compare warrior’s healing to stealth. Everything a warrior can do can be countered. Stealth cannot. Other classes don’t have an ability to remove stealth. And if you’re dying to skull crack + hundred blades, you need to learn to dodge the warrior’s very obvious, telegraphed attacks, or bring a stunbreaker. Thieves have access to poison, use it if the regen bothers you. And it’s a lot harder to nail someone with 100b than it is to spam 5 then 2 over and over again and permastealth with that cheesy d/p build. A good thief will never die to that build anyway. he’ll either kill him, or stealth and run away.

Blood fiend can be killed though.
