Healing Surge and Killshot
I don’t understand how this was a change, it’s exactly what Healing Surge did before. If you’re a lowbie sure KS can hit for 16k, so lower it’s scaling on players who don’t have toughness or just lower it’s scaling period.
Don’t mess with our heal that already doesn’t heal enough if you’re not stacking +heals (it only heals 40% max of our health at full adrenaline if we have neither +vitality gear nor +healign gear).
If you use Healing Surge after you’ve just used Kill Shot and drained all your adrenaline it only heals for 25% of our max health, and on a 30 second cooldown …
In fact, please do buff it, make it heal for 60% like a normal heal and remove the adrenaline part of it entirely. Problem*s* solved.
Thanks for the response, but I’m wondering if HS replenishes all your adrenaline or just part of it.
Because if it does, you have access to 2 kill shots in a 10s span. 2hko on most enemies. Just stand outside a skirmish and win.

You would never need an insta-refill on Adrenaline as long as you manage it well. 8 seconds for the next Killshot is plenty of time to build up 30 if you are traited for it.

It gives you full adrenaline. Not like it makes a difference though. I’ve traited my warrior for adrenaline gain and even with a reduced cooldown, i was still waiting for my Burst skill to come off its 8 second cooldown
By the way, notice how he included “(with their pet)”. Meaning its the pet that really makes the difference not the rangers own abilities.
Healing Surge has been giving full adrenaline for almost a month now. They never mentioned it in patch notes when it got changed I guess they just decided to document it recently.
Personally I preferred the old way as I could have 2 bars of adrenaline and use the heal and get the maximum heal amount.
But that’s just me.
Yes it does fully refill your adrenaline bar. Signet of Fury active also fully refills adrenaline instantly. Berserker stance does it pretty quickly on lowest cd.
I don’t really want to get to in depth in the discussion as it’ll probably devolve into an argument, but my view clearly outlined in the OP. The current availability of kill shot contradicts the bolded statement. In my view the devs can’t see past their own class.
Killshot is not that great… you need to be a complete glasscannon and hitting an upscaled lvl10 in WvW to do any decent damage.
Properly before it gave you full adrenaline bar and then healed you, meaning it always healed for the max amount; now it first heals you and then gives you a full adrenaline bar.
Or at least that’s how I understand the patch notes.
TBH the point of HS is to use your burst and then get back to full adrenaline to utilize bonus DMG/crit chance(if you are traited for it)
