Help Needed!
New to the forums.
Although I’ve levelled my Warrior to 80 (mainly by PvE, Map completion) I’ve started running dungeons with my guild. I’ve found my build lacking in survivability amongst other things.
I really enjoy dual axes (think it kinda fits a Norn Warrior) I used to have rifle as secondary but found it wasn’t useful at high levels. Just started using GS but am looking at sword/axe and axe/shield (or other) with the upcoming adrenaline changes.
Would really appreciate any advice on improvements that I could make to start exploring other parts of the game.
Upcoming changes shouldn’t affect your adrenaline playing PvE unless you use burst on bosses, I use Axes/GS with a little mix of damage and toughness so I don’t get downed every min, 0/5/5/0/4 beserker armor.
Axes getting some love with the new update too, 17% whirling axes and casting time down to 15 sekittenraited.
Yeah seen that update, looks good for the axe.
What traits do you use with the 0/5/5/0/4?
Should really mention I enjoy standing toe to toe with mobs/bosses. probably not the best way to play heh
Arms : V-X
Defense: II-VIIII

Hi, the guide that I posted will mostly benefit level 80 warriors that are keen on optimizing themselves in solo situations but it certainly is ideal for group gameplay as well. Link: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/warrior/DPS-guide-for-PvE-Dungeons-Soloing-More/first
One key thing to note is that if you are in a group, you’ll want to swap Arms I (precise strikes) for Arms V (rending strikes).
The reason for this is because while you do benefit more so for personal DPS to have more precision (as with only 5 in Arms you are slightly lower than what you’d ideally like to be), you benefit very negligibly over what you would with applying vulnerability to the target. In a group, everyone benefits slightly from vulnerability on a target while extra precision only benefits you.
So in short, for soloing:
6 (V IX XI)
5 (I X)
0
0
3 (VI)
and for groups:
6 (V IX XI)
5 (V X)
0
0
3 (VI)
For both situations, your primary weapon should be GS and you’ll also want axe mainhand on swap. Offhand can vary depending on situation, but in 99% of all cases you should be using either warhorn, sword, or mace for offhand.
